all this irrelevant terminator talk just reminded me of something...

OP, when i first got my SS (by this time i had a lid and the chokemaster american thunder catback the previous owner had put on), i ran across a terminator (with pillar gauges fwiw) on the freeway. i pulled up next to him, he looked over surprised and so i floored it. he did too (heard the blower), but i pulled a car on him and let off at about 115mph or so. i called it a kill in my head, but later on i realized he probably didn't get a chance to downshift and i probably shut down as he was starting to pull on me.
so the relevant moral of the story is... it was a good thing i didn't think to post in the ls1tech kill section before i learned a thing about street racing etiquette(?) and my supposed kill victim.

I believe it was the ZL1 Camaro produced in 95/96 which was technically a bone stock car ran 9.5's. Does that answer your question ?

Well considering the car blew the rear during the run and still put down a mid 9, I think the numbers would have met the mark of what he was talking. The op of the question didn't specify concept and there were actually a few of them concepts made so eat it already, damn internet racers who pick races with pathetic hondas.

wow this thread has gone to hell in a handbasket. But to continue the idiocy I must now include concept motorcycles into the conversation. How about the 350rwhp concept Vmax that was the precursor to the '09 Vmax? Went from 350rwhp to 300 to 250 to the current production hp of 200. Or the concept '08 Busa that was rumored at 250hp... or the internet rumor that had nearly EVERYONE positive the 2010 ZX14 was going to have a factory turbocharger and be 250hp? That one very nearly became fact except for the economy... all are concepts that were easy 8 second on so-called stock setups and of course never came to production which means they meant NOTHING and count for NOTHING.

Ummm............. yeah it happened over and over. The one with nitrous beat his car. It was a gutted Civic hatch making 700 whp that ran mid 9s traction limited. Busas dont trap 160 mph they trap mid low 140s. I dont see what the issue is here with this.

I believe it. ANYTHING can happen on the street (or the track). But, be well aware that your car would be in a different zipcode against even an R6 if there is a proper driver behind the wheel of the bike.

Bikes are NOT over rated. In the summer, I have raced my friends bikes plenty of times and they are fast as ****. It takes a ton of power in a car to beat a bike, any bike. You better be making 800+ HP to compete with liter bikes.

OP, since apparently you can beat all kinds of sportbikes, ill race you from a dig on the street on my SLOW sport tourer.. best time of a 12.53 at 105 in the 1/4. im in north phoenix, PM me if you want to meet up on the east side. well get AZNmuscle to film it.

A friend of mine's dad owns an 06 Murcielago with their Stage 1 exhaust or whatever. Probably doesn't add anything, but anyways...that friend owns a 2007 R6 with a full Leo Vince exhaust and dyno tune. It put down 106 rwhp on a conservative dyno. We took both the Lamborghini and the R6 out to compare from about a 50 roll on the freeway. I was riding shotgun in the Lamborghini and we took the hit. The R6 came around us and put a considerable amount of distance on us to about 130. I know all the stories about how we would have eventually passed him and all that but he was so far ahead that he would have been at his top speed well before we would have caught him. This is a high 11 second car that traps about 122 from what I have seen online. It feels decent and the paddle shifter bangs gears pretty well, but that R6 walked us. I have a 2004 Kawasaki ZX-10R with a full system and no tune yet that put down 162 rwhp. I rolled on it with the R6 in 6th gear from 70 and he was in 2nd gear. He pulled a bike on me before I stopped his pull and started to cruise around him. Best gear race against him on my 10 is an absolute massacre. I fall into the roadrace group like the guy above in that most of the miles my bike sees are on the track. I'm not a pro from a dig but I can bang gears with the best of them. Are there cars that can pull on me? Sure but they better be trappin 145+. However, bikes are far from overrated and no bolt on LT1 is even touching a semi new 600 that's well ridden. My 330rwhp Camaro gets destroyed by 600s and my 1000 toys with 600s.
