I dont know how far we raced, I know the road we were on turns into one lane and he tried beating me to it but it didnt work out well for him, maybe it was 1/8 of a mile. On the highway he would murder me.

I bought it from said there is work done to it... But I got my spare LT1 I picked up for 130 bucks in my garage about to go to the machine shop. Im doing it my way so I know what to tell people when they ask for a mod list lol

It doesnt take 160 mph traps to beat Busas on the highway. A friend of mine had a car trapping mid 140s and the only bike he lost to on the highway was a Busa with a shot of nitrous on it.

 

So you're up to about 250 rwhp?

 

WELL RIDDEN (notice how I cap'd that? 99% of riders cant drag race for ****. 75% cant roll race from 1st gear for ****. 50% cant roll race from 2nd gear for ****. Fact. But well ridden 2nd gen Busa's and ZX14's trap 9.2-9.6 @146-152mph range depending on weight of rider and basic bolton mods. So common sense says a car that traps near them in the 1/4 will do better from a roll.
Edit: for the record, I am not one of that 1% that can drag race properly. I'm a road racer and fall into the 25% that can do a 1st gear roll race properly.
That right there never ceases to **** me off. Can't count the number of times I've taken off normal (quick) and gotten to the next stop light and some guy pulls up next to me with a **** eating grin on his face saying "man I've never raced a bike before! Thanks for running me" or equivelant. I 'almost' feel bad when I tell them I never knew they were there, less yet was I trying to race them.
$100 bet that you cant stay within 20 car lengths of a decent ridden ZX14 or Busa from 60mph to 160mph? Or 15 car lengths of a 1000? 10 car lengths of a 600?

Tell me where you live and I will find someone to race you. I got lots of contacts all over the place.

I want in on this! I've got a friend that has a ZX10 that runs low 6's in the 1/8. My H/C/I/E WS-6 can't keep up with most bikes on the street. I'm not going to get into the LSx > LTx or LSx < LTx debate, I just really don't see a barely modded LT outrunning ANY respectable sport bike.

You guys are missing the most important mod, "Performance Tune". I'm sure that had EVERYTHING to do with it.

 

I think that racing bikes is overrated.

 

I doubt you could beat a 7 year old boy on a skateboard with those mods let along a bike. How old are you? You sound like a naive 17 year
old.

 

Even an old carb'd R6 would put a hurting on you and trap in the 120s. He was either not racing you or was in 3rd when you decided to take off.

I second the fact that people always think im racing my GSXR when all I'm doing is taking off normal or slightly aggressive. It takes A LOT to beat a bike. With heads/cam/150 shot, you might have a chance againsty a well ridden R6.

 

well the LT1 came stock with 270hp i have respect for LT1's. I have seen some pretty quick cars with LT1's in them but with the mods he listed i do not think he would have beaten a bike. them bastards r so light its not even funny making them very quick
