my friend got smoked drivin a ninja 600cc by a stock c6 z06...but he also cant drive.. 1/4 mile the average rider cant drive the bike to its potential and run high 12's when they should be running high low 11's..so decent built ls1 has a chance till about 100mph then its over the bikes will pass yaa

i was in a 780 rwhp vette when it got pulled, from a 70 roll by a sprocketed, slipon, lowered, stretched GSXR 1000. bike was stock powerlevel, a little bit better gearing but nothing really to help from a 70 roll.

Just ran into this thread...I have a cammed z28, and have had a CBR600 and a ZX6R. They were both great running bikes, and I'm a pretty decent rider, and if I could line myself up against myself (if that makes sense ) I would ******* toast my camaro on either bike. Literally no chance. I've also driven a friend's C5 Z06, and it would be the same story. I'm a good driver too.
I didn't read ALL the posts, but seriously no stock to mildly modded F-body can beat a 600 bike with a decent rider seated on it. My opinion from experience. Oh and my bikes only had slip-on pipes, no sprockets or anything.

Nah, I'd probably run 13's. How do I beat 360whp Busa's you say? Trick is keeping the power low and have some good tires. That way you jump him out of the hole and he can never catch up. I'd say if you want to mess with big power sport bikes you shouldn't have anymore than 330rwhp. Anything over that you are wasting it in tire smoke.

I did that too on my Harley vs. a 'Busa!!!
But....
I made it across the intersection and he passed me with his front tire 4" off the ground and then short-shifting while he put bus lengths on me.....

Not trying to start an argument.. But now do you see why everyone says that it is "BS" that you beat a bike?
You may very well have been in front of the bike.. Whether he was racing or no is irrelevant. Fact is, you beat the rider, which happens a LOT. You have a solid 13 second car on motor and high 12s on spray. Not anything near enough to pull any 600 bike in good running condition rode average or above average. It would be absolutely embarrassing. As in people wouldn't be able to tell you were racing.
