I know from experience that more power doesn't always make your track time better. I had an 05 skittle with the stage3 kit. And the best time I got out of it was 8.79 in the 1/8. But I trapped over 89 mph! Front-wheel drive for the loss. And that was on BFG drag radials. And I still spun half through first and shifting into 2nd and 3rd. It was NASTY from a roll though!!!

Yes so true. My friends built SRT4 ran a 13.7 but straight murdered me off a roll.

I went to the track last Saturday night and best a 14.1 @106.02MPH. 2.4 60ft and major wheel hope that scared me to death. I don't know how to fix it other than lowering springs.

I agree the LNF is much better than the LSJ, I'm just a sucker for whine, that's all. Anything with an eaton/whipple sounds beautiful from the front to me.

Built SRT? I've seen stock ones hit high 13s. Built ones usually are in the 12s IMHO.

Yea well he ran a 13.7................. at 117mph. REALLY had some problems putting the power down.

Even stock ones are amazing off of roll races. And what JUST a boost controller can do to even an 03 (smaller injectors) is simply amazing IMO.

the s/c sounds awesome......but im biased :-)

the turbo screamin for air and the pfffft u are rewarded with on a perfect no-lift-shift are heavenly.

when i raced (and pulled) my buddies lt1 vette, he heard it over his car. especially the BOV between shifts...
he jumped on launch and i screamed by thru 3rd.

damn, all this talk about speed.
i bet now, no one messes with me now that i am tuned :-(

OMG tell me about it, a few years back when buddy picked up his SS T/C cobalt we went on a cruise of sorts and i was the driver.

So many things amazed me. In any gear when i floored it the boost would build so fast and it would just pull! And the sucking sound sounded so so cool.

And the No lift shift is simply the ****.

But what amazed me most is the handling. It is straight up good. And not good for a FWD car but good for any car period. On the highway it just gave me so much confidence on the on and off ramps and etc.

Great little car.

I was going to put a SRT-4 engine/turbo in my 99 R/T before I sold it. Wish I did it now and kept it as a DD.

Those swaps are ridiculous on the highway and return some amazing MPG.

Probably dangerous too. I'd get blown all over the road in my R/T all the time when on I-77.

if you enjoyed that ride......you have to drive a tuned one :-)

and its a very confident corner carver....regardless of the wheel drive.
check out any stats on road courses and it beats much more expensive/powerful cars

Over 6 mph increase and a second faster in the 1/4 mile! Looks like your mods are proving worth the $$. Great gains, I bet you suprise the hell out of people with that thing.

I ran into new problems though. Wheel hop in a dangerous way. Im going to have to worry about how to get it planted. Lowering it and putting better mounts is what I hear make the difference. from a roll the thing moves out. But I lose traction in 1st and 2nd.

i can relate to that, except i don't have a stg3. i'm just a stg1 with boltons and a tune. my best 1/8th was a 8.5 @ 89 spinning through 1st and 2nd on bfg drag radials.
