Default 08 Mustang gt vs cobalt ss/sc

I Was driving home from work when a cobalt ss was driving in the other direction, he turn around to come and mess with me. We started pacing each other i downshifted to first only doing about 20 mph and when he hit i did the same the car went sideways (it was cold about 35 degrees out) and i let out of it.

we went again a couple of times with me pulling each time about a car through second before i let out, the last time we went i put it in bottom of second and he jump half a car by the time i hit third i was about a car up shifted to third then let out a couple seconds later.

we pulled up to a light and asked me what i had in it i told him stock and he refused to believe me, by the sound of supercharger whine i think he might of had a pully (not sure), i could here his supercharger whining even when he was behind me, is the supercharger on cobalt normally this loud?

The SC cobalts aren't that great but he must have had a lot of mods for sure. I kill them with ease with my HHR. watch out for the modded TC SS Cobalts

Nice kill.

He may have just had an intake. The superchargers on those engines SCREAM with an aftermarket SRI/CAI. He hung pretty good though, so he may have also had one of the GM Stage kits (pulley, injectors, tune, ect).

They all get louder when you open up the intake, but I agree the LSJ is just as loud stock as other SC cars with an open intake and pulley drop....such a beautiful sound

Nice kill & He was definitely modded.
The fact that he was going the other direction and he turned around, he was looking for a kill with his new mods.
It 'd make for a sweet dd.
What kind of times do the sc and tc cobalt ss run?

My bud had a PT looser, turbo with a lot of mods, new motor and a bigger turbo. He makes a lot of people say W.T.F when he takes out their v8s. I asked him why wast that kind of money and time on a car like that. Then I saw the look on this guys face after his camaro ss lost to it. It's Funny, but I'll kep my American muscle. Nice Kill.

Good kill OP! A TC Cobalt should be a much better race for you. I raced one that was stock and one that had a GM Stage 1 kit. I beat them, but they weren't far behind at all.

The times pretty much suck ***** all around, but they trap ok. Around 97 mph for the SC and 101-102 for the TC.

damn advancement!

drives me crazy when i see these cars (insert new GT) coming stock with 400hp.
my z idles like a beast and is not daily livable but new cars come with the same power it took me years and $$ to reach :-(
yes i was makin power years ago but now its so average....aghhhhhh

would only take all the bolt ons & tune to keep up from a roll but the cobalt will never out launch the z.......thank god

and sorry for :highjack:
