I work on diesels for ford lol, we spend most of our time replacing headgaskets and egr coolers. Very rarely does it mess up a head. However, I did have one come in the other day with the transfer case laying in the bed. He launched at the track with a bully dog programmer, studded heads, egr delete, and propane injection. Blew the tcase into about 7 pieces.

Ya i got a 97 F350 powerstroke crew cab and just with a 3" downpipe i can feel the difference.. I wanna get the bully dog chip though. Sounds like fun!

No I've never weighed it, I was just going by what edmund.com said the truck weighed. My truck must weigh a little more than yours then because I have a F350 lariat FX4 SRW.

I wonder what caused that truck to do that? And man did it have a terrible knock to it!! I have a few friends that have 09's and they don't knock or flame like that!!

Wasn't the turbo leaking oil into the exhaust and then the DPF was burning it up the oil? You would know better than I would.
