My first Kill in my Ford!
This is the first race I've had in a long time. The vehicles in question here aren't your every day bad boy cars. Well I was on my way to work this morning in my 2007 F350 4-door FX4 SRW 6.0L turbo diesel . The only mods I have on the truck is a Bully dog GT Tuner. It has 3 different settings on it. The lowest setting is 50hp, the middle setting is 75more hp and the extreme setting is 120+ more hp. The car was a Monte Carlo SS, not sure about the year or engine size or of any mods on this car. Anyway, I don't normaly race my truck but this guy just wouldn't leave me alone. The first hit was from about 50mph 3-honks by him and off we went. He pulled out about a half of car and then I reeled him back in and passed him up by about 75mph. Shut down at 100mph. He rolled his window down and asked me to go from a 30 mph roll which we did but the out come was only worst for him. The last run was from a dig, his choice and we left on his horn. I put the truck in 4X4 high and stalled it up to get the boost up. He honked it off and I jumped out by about 3-4 cars and steadly pulled the whole way to about 110mph. I was impressed because I was on the middle setting and not even on the extreme setting. I know this was a stupid kill but I haven't had a street race in about a year and boy was this super fun!!

Without the tuner the truck was a turd. I have never taken it to the track but my buddies has the same truck same tuner just a different color and his is a 2006 that he took to the track and went 14.1@98mph. It might have been 14.1@88mph don't really remember but still quick for a big heavy *** truck. lol Not sure if mine would do that but it sure moves out pretty good now I have the tuner on it. Not bad at all for a 6500lb truck.

At one of my old jobs a customer had a built(everything imaginable was upgraded) excursion...it was ridiculous how he broke all 4 gigantic tires loose from low rolls haha
Diesels can be sneaky.

The 6.0's can really put the power down with minimal mods. Be careful though; the 6.0's are not known for their longevity, especially with a programmer. You need to keep an eye on your egt's too, since you do not have any supporting mods.

I bought it for better mileage and so far so good. I was getting 14-14.5 around town and now I am getting 16-17mpg and 19-21mpg on the highway. Now of course this is without a load. I am going to do the supporting mods in the future but the truck is still under warranty so beside the intake and exhaust that I am going to install this is about it.

Isn't it great! A 7,000 pound pickup getting 20 mpg. You should try xpd opti-lube. I know a few guys who swear by it, so I tried it. Gave me 1 mpg around town and a little more than that on the freeway. You just mix it every tank of fuel. It supposedly protects against wear and lubricates better as well.

EDIT: I am also glad to see another diesel guy on here.

word--- the ford super dutys are really nice trucks, but that powerstroke engine scares me. i've seen countless stock ones eat head gaskets and crackheads.
nice kill btw, beating cars with trucks is fun!
