I guess if the race was to 200 mph. Only time he got pulled at all was when he went into an overdrive gear. Looks like both of the cars were just about equal with a very very slight edge to the Vette.

Great run. Very close. Going to say it was an exhaust intake C6 and judging by the Porsche wing it's been modified by Gemballa. Probably a small bolt package because it only takes a hybrid turbo swap and they are making over 600 and that would not be anywhere near as close.

Not bad... guy needs to shift a tad faster but overall a good race. But they never hit at the same time or lined up. We all know that a hit can make a huge difference but, it would seem the Z06 was a tad faster until he threw 5th. Junk gear really against a car built for the autobahn.
Right, from what a 996tt weighs, 3400lbs. + passengers, it would seem that turbo was probably in the 570awhp+ if not more. I can believe 600awhp since n real life, they are cows!!!!!

like how the vette took the jump and the half car head start every race. would like to see a dig race, not that im hating on the vette but gotta give the AWD turbo a chance in his best game too.

the vette is getting a jump but the 996 has a momentum advantage it wasnt like it was sitting a car back he was pulling up at the honk so essentialy he was at a slightly higher speed atleast thats how it looks to me.

Unfortunately, changing the final is not as easy as switching out the gears themselves...
For the Z06, it actually requires that you swap out the whole diff with a different gear in it... some folks even use the C6 case to use a different final.
Personally, I love the gearing in the Z06... IMO, it is one of the reason it is this fast. The problem is that, when compared to the ZR1, is that in the Z06 you can only race in 5th while in the ZR1 you can race in 5th AND 6th. Also, the gearing in the ZR1, first gear for example, is actually taller so with our 7K re-limiter, we would be able to hit more MPH per gear however off the hole it would be more difficult to launch since out tall first (2.97) is already tricky to launch.
Anyways, what the best we can do is leave the final alone and just swap out the 5th gear, if not the 5th and 6th from the ZR1. With our final (3.42) and rear tire, the 5th would land around 190mph-ish and 6th, if you use the ZR1 6th, in the 200mph+ area but our cruise speed/rpm will go up and the mpg will theoretically decrease a bit.
