Personally, I'd probably get a Goat over a vette...have kids, need the tiny back seats. Plus they are nice rides.
Just remember everything can be fixed with money $$$$

I've heard more crap about this optispark system on here than I care to. So I'm curious, no idea why because I will never own a LT1 (no offense), but can you get past this optispark thing? I know on my old 3.1L V6 Camaro I did a TB bypass. LOL Is there a optispark bypass?

THat was me...and I wasn't drinking beer and watching a game. But LIke you, I confused you with another member so I edited my post. Too much BS in here when I read through it...by the time I did my infamous multi quote, I had mixed you up with someone else..so I deleted it.

And personally, I'd love ot have an 02 SS and a mach 1 in my garage.

(BTW, I had an 03 AB mach myself. )

Sorry, I'm the one watching Baseball and drinking beer. Sadly, I'm out of beer, and the wife took over the TV. Then again, this is more entertaining, but have to hit the hay soon. Earlier, my post to you 94Z28'MachThis' was in reference to 2V modular PI Stangs. IMO, they are a driver's race with an LT1. Sorry, but this has been my experience. If you have run into turd GT's, then chalk that up as the average Stang owner who buys the car for the looks and just likes the ride, not everyone mods their car and bangs gears. My opinion is also not one sided...owned both GMs and Fords.....also Chryslers.

They really aren't as bad as people, including myself, make them out to be. They just seem to die and do dumb **** at the worst possible time.

EFI Connections has a full LS1 PCM conversion and ls1 coil pack system that completely gets rids of the optispark system. This opens up options for tuning, etc.

Yea see my sig...

Actually there is a way to rid the opti all together. There is a poll up about opti failures in the lt1 section; I saw a lot of guys that got rid the opti in that poll.

+1

A stock LT1 and a stock 2v GT are pretty much a driver's race. Any modification made either way will tip the scales. A LT1 with gears really wakes it up. Same with the 2v. I've raced 4-5 LT1s (they are EVERYWHERE around here) and didn't lose once in my 2v GT. Having said that, they were all mostly stock, and had drivers with less experience than I have.

Um, improving knowledge about Mustangs in here is ruining the forum?

No one here is acting like a 2v GT is a monster. But a stock LT1 and a stock 2v GT are both high 13 low 14s cars. Both, with gears, will run mid 13s to high 13s. I am not sure why people stating this is "ruining" the forum.

If someone was saying the same thing about Camaro's in a Mustang forum, the camaro members would correct them as well. And so should they.
