Agreed on the honroable death. Its always nice to run into someone who likes cars in general, and doesnt believe whatever they drive is the fastest thing ever.

 

My buddy has an 04 KB Cobra that I have yet to run. He hasn't been tuned yet though. Nice death and cool dude ya got to race with.

Oh and he probably changed it for the tattoo thread lol.

Haha, no! I posted a pic of a DSM tattoo, and a few people assumed I actually had that monstrosity on my arm. Figured I would run with it.

Also, thanks for the insight on the cobras guys, I always take the opportunity to learn.

The do. Plus Kb's have a shitload of problems or use to anyways. I'd still choose whipple anyday of the week.

I dont buy the "Mustang guys are ******". **** ive seen my fare share of LSX guys who dont know when to shut their mouths. I got my *** handed to me by an 04 Cobra. I was stock and he had an upgraded pully, CAI, and a tune.

 

I got beat up by a cobra once too. I had my current H/C set up, but wasn't fully tuned yet, and only put down 403/355 at the time (423/382 now), and he is a ported sprayed pullied cobra...505 Blower only, not sure of his numbers on the bottle.

 

The blower is a champ. It makes 600ft-lbs at 2,000rpm.
'03 Cobras seems a little weak at 17-19psi to me. They are
a totally different animal from 23-28psi though.

My TOB is shot. Other than that, everything is good.

 

I've heard that the KB 2.2 had it's own set of issues with seals and such. But the larger KB's are supposed to be pretty stout and can more than hold their own against the Whipples.

Both companies make good blowers that will usually produce more power than most DOT tires can handly anyhow. I'd take either one at this point. It's just that a KB sounds so nice under pressure.
