last night after leaving the race track, i see a 03-04 cobra ahead so i catch up to play... slow down and rev to let em know whats up, he down shifts and i do to. he puts 3 fingers up so i know what that mean..he honks 3 times and at 3rd we both take off around 60mph,we are even, and stay like that all the way to around 120. (guesstimating) then we slow down again to run again. and this is the one i cought on tape...still leaves me wondering if it was a cobra or not....had all the looks of an 03-04 cobra, all of them... after he was around my quarter panel he stopped pushing it.....it was probably a mach1 with all the accesories

It sure didn't sound like a 03-04 Cobra. Your car isn't that loud and I didn't hear the "whine" and even if it was stock you should still be able to hear it. Atleast you could here mine still while I was stock in the 03 Cobra I used to own....03-04 Cobra = doubtful IMO

Agreed! If it was a 03-04 cobra you would have been seeing tail lights for sure!! Good run either way..

Agree with the guys above: not a Cobra, but could easily be a Mach 1: those are pretty much a drivers race with a LS1. Your only mod being a K&N filter, right? Time to fix that! There is wayyy to many cheap or free mods out there to only have a air filter upgrade and to be hitting the local race tracks IMO.

could it be an earlier new edge cobra maybe? pre-terminatorim talking. idk what they make powerwise, but i know they make more than a normal gt so that vs stock ls1 might be about that? well just let the blue oval boys come weigh in, but i know that wasnt a termi.

I'm with you on this, I'm thinking a 99 or 01 cobra, they look really close like the 03-04 especially at night. If the only mod is a K&N filter on his LS1 a terminator even in stock form woudl take him.

Also there should be a noticeable whine. I just got done racing my buddies 03 cobra last night and although modded when he was next to me his blower was LOUD

It for sure wasn't a GT I know that for a fact. GT wouldn't keep up with me like that. I've ran my friends 01 GT and would just pull nasty all the time. I'm sure thinking it was a non supercharged cobra or a mach1 with a terminator kit.....

Well I did have head lights and while I was cathing up I did see it had a terminator style wing and bumper, because I know the older cobras had GT wings. Either way I ate that stang up for dinner

yeah that is a problem that I notice ALOT around here...a crap load of misbadging...I know of a V6 stang with cobra front bumper,hood,badges,spoiler,and wheels...I know its a V6 for two reasons...1(it still has the terd pipe exhaust)2(was at a local car meet with the hood popped and it was clearly a V6

Lol. I seen a 96-98 stang with everything GT done to it. Rims, rear bumper ,badgin, but had one little tail pipe going down. lol

99/01 Cobra's look completely difference from 03/04 Cobra's. I know in the vid it wasn't a 03/04 Cobra though. It was probably a 99/01 with the 03 Cobra cosmetics. Look in the multimedia section. A member here has a 01 Mineral Gray Cobra with all the 03 cosmetics.
