Camaro vs Modded CRX

i recently sold my little del sol si. i had it for a few years, had a d16z6 forged internals, with the greddy turbo kit. running 15psi. i never had it to the track, too far away. anyway, it was hellishly quick, with any traction (which it had none) it would have gone 12's. DON'T tell me d-series engines are junk. they are ridiculously cheap, and cheap to build. they are single cammed for simplicity, they are still 16 valve. and the fact that they are in little light cars makes for a nice power to weight ratio. i have long since moved on to bigger and better platforms, but still dont like a blanket dismissal of a decent little engine.

The first time when I let him get a run on me all i could do was stop his pull and gradually start reeling...... the second time yes I put at least a bus on him but he held at my door for about 2 or 3 seconds before I pulled on him like he was sitting still.... As I said, he could of been hydroplaning and let off, or I could have just burned him that much.... hence why better weather once we get it, we will probably try again. I'm just waiting for him to slap a turbo on it and make me have to use the z28....LOL he was looking at a lot of turbo engines online today at work.

I had a stock '94 Integra GS-R that put down 142hp at the wheels, and ran a 14.97 @ 93.82mph. From what I've seen/experienced, that is more than enough to put down a V6 F-body, especially at higher speeds. A CRX weighs ~500-600lbs less than an Integra.

Another site has it as tested at 15.4 for the GSR which still puts you almost a half second faster... Not to mention the B18C1 has considerably better specs overall regardless if you did put down the same HP numbers namely the torque aspec. Also a higher compression motor... so thats like comparing the 96 Mustang GT rated at 225 to the Camaro V6 @ 200.. Stats are similar but the GT's still typically out run the v6 Camaros....
Your 14.97 @ 93.82 would be a world record from the research I have done.. Your losing credibility here, just because you raced on Nitto Legends in your GSR and did those times doesn't make it real....LOL

I don't give a **** what magazines say... I ran that time at Temple Academy Dragway on late Dec '02/early Jan '03. JamRWS6 was also there. And yes I'm aware that would be a record for a stock GS-R. I did have an axle-back exhaust (muffler), if you want to try and tell me that adds power.

Start at post #9. I'm GSRGuy16.
I'm also on mustangforums.com as GSRGuy18, and my time/old car is in my signature. Or you can go to clubrsx.com and look up GSRGuy94, or honda-tech.com for GSRGuy17. Or you could look here http://www.dragtimes.com/Acura-Integ...slip-6153.html. You think I'm really gonna lie about running a 14.97?

I didn't say I wanted a CRX with a motor swap, I just said that they could be pretty quick. If you pay attention, I love big engines and horsepower.

When I got the car I was 16, and turn 17 5 months later. After I turned 18 and realized I didn't wanna keep doing that every year, I just changed it to "94," which was the year of the car.

14.9 is kind of a stretch for a GSR but i've seen stranger things happen. No one here seems to understand that there is more to cars than going fast in a straight line. My bolt-on RSX was one of the most fun cars i've owned. It wasn't all that fast but it could handle LT1s and 2v GTs.

A bolt-on/tuned RSX-S should be able to beat a stock LT1 or 2V GT.

thanks OP for the V6 kill vs this shitbox.
I'm sooo with you.
I'm so glad this CRX **** box is out of the road, and now all the integra are getting wrecked too...feels good to me!! They caused so much visual/sound pollution all those years!
I have never understood the appeal of this. I like imports just as much as I like domestics and an R32 GTR is one of my top 20 or so favorite cars. And yet, the biggest thing that makes me NOT want one (aside from the $20k+ price tag and registration issues) is the fact that they're right hand drive. My dad had a RHD land rover defender, so I'm familiar with it. I don't think people realize how much of a bitch it is to drive on the road in a car with the wheel on the wrong side.
