also too many times, especially in the cobalt, i get lined up (to my dismay) next to a loping 9 second muscle car.
i just let him go, then nail it when i can hear my lil 4cyl reving
I'm with ya there on your comment about T&T but when it's a grudge match you had better not fall asleep at the tree I have a good friend that has an 08 Viper and we ran at the track heads up. First race I ran 11.5 he ran 11.7 I crossed the line first. Second race he ran an 11.5 and I ran 11.7 but I caught him asleep at the lights and crossed the line a half a car in front of him got the win light. He said we were tied 1 win each lol Yes I gave him the 3rd race anyway and managed the win.

oh, i love to cut a good light. guess im more relaxed since i recently brought the cobalt to the track and i couldnt hear **** over the guys in the other lane.
i just wanted a time so i want really even paying attention to the yellows.

im a little more attentive in the Z since its ok to bring the revs to 5k and just drop it where the cobalt i had to hover around 2k and ridethe clucth out till 5k.

so i may have jumped the gun.
but still, on one of my runs. i tore up a mustang on the ET but since i sat for a second he won at the end. im sure when he saw the slip, he didnt go braging to his buddies about beating me to the timelights

i agree the track is not street racing but this guy was obviously tryin to race, he was slow off the light, he didnt set there for like 2 sec tryin to get a good launch he was just slow on the drop, and the fact that he said " im feelin pretty crappy about this right now" kinda meant to me he was but hurt he lost. i dont know about ur track but the track here lets those 9 sec muscle cars run by themselves, you have to be runnin street tires or dr to run the street cars and get in the top 8 at the end of the night.

he said with a shrug, "nope, its just T&T bro so it dont matter"

grrrrrrr

i cant complain too much
$25 and a sticky track.

WOW>...what's with all the hate?

and yes 23 is young.

Dude ran a better ET, he won the race. Crossing the line don't mean squat as it wasn't a street race. It was at the track with a friggin' clock. ANd so he had a power adder, so what? Had he actually known how to drive his ET would ahve been even better. It's obvious he either A) isn't setup for ET's or B) could use more seat time. plain and simple.

I'm not getting into this one. I would like to run this guys T/A with my useless Mustang though. Hopefully he could keep himself from laughing when I show him I have no power adder.

Oh boy!! It's going to get ugly real soon haha! I would say t&t is all et. However when running heads up for money or for sport when both sides agree on terms such as my race at the track against another guy! He beat me by 1 car length but red lighted I took it as a loss for me cause he clearly beat me but he was willing to hand over the money but I told him to keep it and take mine cause on the street there was no way to tell that he red lighted! Good race and for the kinda car he was driving he was a good sport!

Not hatin', just sayin'. LOL

In the auto world, 23 is (generally) still pretty ignorant. I know I was. Still am, just a lil less so.

You make the best excuses for mustang losses! When I run my next Mustang and destroy it, we will need your services!

And when I yank my next LS1, I'll be sure to dig this up...

It's Scott right? I'm going way back here so pardon me if I'm wrong.
Let me know if you want to stretch your LS1's legs against a Mustang.
We're pretty close to each other.
