useless stangs
at the track, its not "street racing," it is T&T, im there to see what my car can run.
i could give a crap what the dude next to me runs. hell if i know im faster, i let them go first becasue its fun to pull around. in the end, all i want to know i what MY car runs.
also too many times, especially in the cobalt, i get lined up (to my dismay) next to a loping 9 second muscle car.
i just let him go, then nail it when i can hear my lil 4cyl reving

I have a good friend that has an 08 Viper and we ran at the track heads up. First race I ran 11.5 he ran 11.7 I crossed the line first. Second race he ran an 11.5 and I ran 11.7 but I caught him asleep at the lights and crossed the line a half a car in front of him got the win light. He said we were tied 1 win each lol Yes I gave him the 3rd race anyway and managed the win.
oh, i love to cut a good light. guess im more relaxed since i recently brought the cobalt to the track and i couldnt hear **** over the guys in the other lane.
i just wanted a time so i want really even paying attention to the yellows.
im a little more attentive in the Z since its ok to bring the revs to 5k and just drop it where the cobalt i had to hover around 2k and ridethe clucth out till 5k.
so i may have jumped the gun.
but still, on one of my runs. i tore up a mustang on the ET but since i sat for a second he won at the end. im sure when he saw the slip, he didnt go braging to his buddies about beating me to the timelights
OP good kill/death, whatever youd like to call it
and on the 8sec guys i ran. i did ask the tec if hed let the mucle guy run alone and let me get a piece of the stang behind him.
he said with a shrug, "nope, its just T&T bro so it dont matter"
grrrrrrr
i cant complain too much
$25 and a sticky track.
but that was annoying.....wish i was in the hugger

Dude ran a better ET, he won the race. Crossing the line don't mean squat as it wasn't a street race. It was at the track with a friggin' clock. ANd so he had a power adder, so what? Had he actually known how to drive his ET would ahve been even better. It's obvious he either A) isn't setup for ET's or B) could use more seat time. plain and simple.
wth people?

In the auto world, 23 is (generally) still pretty ignorant. I know I was. Still am, just a lil less so.

Let me know if you want to stretch your LS1's legs against a Mustang.
We're pretty close to each other.
