useless stangs so i was at the track tonight doin ok for the stupid skinny tires i have, runnin consistent 12.8's and 12.9's, then i pull in the staging lane next to this new body style mustang gt. it was nice car, silver with black stripes with nice black torque thrust rims, i figured it was stock i didnt hear an exhaust. so we do our burn outs, an i launch an the mustang disappeared, it feels like a good run i didnt spin to much an i look back and the mustang is right on my *** gainin ground, we cross the line with him at my back finder so technically i won. when they give me my time slip i ran a 12.88 with a .3xxx reaction time and the mustang ran a 12.5 with a .7xx reaction time so i guess i lost on paper. we get back in the lanes and he get out an he asked me what i had done so i told him, an he had this stupid look on his face and said no power adders, i told him no and then i noticed the wide *** mickey DR's on the back and i asked what he had done, and in the most pittaful voice said "dude im supercharged" and i had to keep myself from laughing at him, then he said i actually feel pretty crappy about that right now and walked away with his head haingin low. it made me feel pretty good im not gona lie. he would have beat me pretty good if he new how to drive an wasnt asleep at the tree but it was still a good race, one of those ones i wish i woulda got on tape.
i need to loose the stupid 245 tires and get some wider ones, or just get some nittos and he wouldnt have beat me either way. by the way the mustang was a auto without a stall and factory exhaust so he wasnt set up for the supercharger, he prolly just bought the car a said ohh i want a supercharger and just slapped a procharger kit on with the diablo programmer

there is no coulda about it, i said i need wider tires not if i had wider tires i woulda won, i know he had a faster et but i crossed the finish line first, you can look at it how ever you want i dont care, im not callin it a win or a loss im callin it a good race. and no i pretty much just race here at coastal planes iv never made it up to zmax but iv heard good things about it.

when i hit up the track T&T, i consider whats on paper who won. since the tree doesnt matter i make sure i launch at the right RPM even if that means i dont nail a perfect light.
on T&T you are racing for a good ET.

Try to line-em up on the street and say at the end of the race I won, I just started a little late
I hope most people don't paper race lol Thats kinda like dyno racing ! Driver and car make the race. If you get beat at the line and run the faster e/t at the end of the track but the other driver crosses the line first you LOSE !

I hear ya.......but
at the track, its not "street racing," it is T&T, im there to see what my car can run.
i could give a crap what the dude next to me runs. hell if i know im faster, i let them go first becasue its fun to pull around. in the end, all i want to know i what MY car runs.
also too many times, especially in the cobalt, i get lined up (to my dismay) next to a loping 9 second muscle car.
i just let him go, then nail it when i can hear my lil 4cyl reving
