2002 Camaro SS vs 2009 G8 GT cammed vs daytona charger Just cruising and then out of no where a sick *** G8 GT comes rolling up. A few miles later we get lined up from about a 50. They pull out a camera thinking they were gonna romp me, later to find out his is an auto, I just finished breaking in my 4.10s.
I started in 3rd, at around 4k rpm, they honk it off, I punched it and took off like he was at a dead stop felt like, put about a car on him. Take it into 4th and about 1.5 cars on him and right with I take it into 5th I look back and he is about 2-3 cars behind me speedometer said about 135 but its off, so I let off the gas, and had to slam my brakes due to a car.
I have full bolt on's, 224 cam, 4.10s. Later to find out this guy has full bolt ons, cam, and puts down 411 rwhp.
The guy recording is a retard and didnt get the first 2/3 of the race, only about when I let off the gas and had to slam my brakes. So does this sound right how I took him so good off the line, you can see how far I am up on him but thats about it. If you look close you can see my car bounce that was taking it into 5th. We r gonna get a better camera guy and get another run in week, with another cammed G8 GT.

that video blows, doesnt really show a damn thing. it almost looks as if the G8's running you back down untill you notice that you've let off the gas but all G8 GT's are auto's, the G8 GXP's are the only 1's that came with the avialable Manual transmission.
Run the G8 from a stop and a roll, im sure it would run you pretty well from a stop.
