heres how the 03-06 srt10 stacked up against the c6Z06.....nsx despite the feel would be blown away by either car

2003 Motor trend speeding shoot out.
.03 SRT10 vert=11.7 at 123
VS 2003 Z06=12.4 at 116

2007 popular mechanics
SRT10 coupe=12.1 at 121.2 mph=lap=1.15.59
VS C6Z06=12.0 at 120.9 mph =lap=1.15.74
looks like the 1/4 mile was very close with the SRT10 trapping a lil higher and being a little faster on the road course

2007 MotorTrend
SRT10 coupe=12.1 at 120.9 mph=Lap=24.4
VS C6Z06=11.7 at 125.2 mph=Lap=24.8
Looks like the C6Z06 dominated at the strip but again the Viper was a lil quicker around they're course
http://www.autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dl...2&Profile=1008
Autoweek
SRT10 coupe=12.3 at 117 mph=Lap=46.8 mph
VS C6Z06=12.0 at 121 mph=Lap=45.6 mph
Again the C6Z06 beats the SRT10 handily at the strip but is a lil slower through the slalom
http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...7/pageId=67637
Edmonds american exotics
SRT10 coupe=12.6 at 117 mph =Lap=133.30
VS C6Z06=12.0 at 123 mph=Lap=133.04
Man the C6Z06 just dusted the viper at the strip this time..But look at those track times. Pretty impressive that a car that was significantly slower at the strip was within 2 tenths of the Z06..
http://www.roadandtrack.com/assets/d...owersTrack.pdf
This time The C6Z06 barely edges out the SRT10 vert in the quarter mile with a 12.2 at 118 VS the Vipers 12.3 at 116 mph...But on the road course they both pull 1.19.5 second lap times..The review then says that they preferred lapping the SRT10 vert over the C6Z06 due to it track mannerisms
http://www.automobilemag.com/reviews...per/stats.html
Automobile
SRT10 coupe =12.4 at xxx mph=lap=1.33.95
VS C6Z06=12.0 at xxx mph=Lap=132.75
Finally the c6Z06 beats the SRT10 by 1.2 seconds around a road course...So out of the "HEAD2HEAD"reviews I could find..Viper3...Vette2...and 1 tie...

oh yeah no disrepect to the viper in any way was intended...the c6 vette, z06 were made better so that they could run with the viper...the c5 was close but not strong enough, in 98 to 2001 the vettes and vipers raced the hell out of each other...no dollar amount was important and winning was all that mattered ( this was a full factory effort from dodge and chevy ) these two cars were so fast on the road race courses that porsche at the time was running a 911 gt2 pulled out, saleen s7 were quick also...i have attend races at sebring, road atlanta, and daytona 24hr events...if you never saw these cars up close you really missed some special...they are bad ***.

they are built motors..all kinds of expensive material used in the motors, they just don't believe in making them big on displacement...and that's why vettes and vipers keep digging in that *** lol

I know man..i know..
I rolled up on a black F360 in my black supercharged nsx...My nsx was probally just a lil faster if it was stock..But man oh man does it even matter?????
That 360 was all black and had the black convertable fabric roof..it was simply amazing to actually see on the road...
Id roll an f360 any day..

yes of course they look good **** for 250thousand they should...very hot exotic cars, but straight up outright performance i'll take a vette are a viper...drop 10thousand at the most in it and kick butt

I dont know man those F430's are pretty impressive..
A stock LS3 vette is gonna get yanked by one..A C6Z06 can edge it out but it's not a mass murder..And on a road course my money would be on the f430 all day..

the c5r/c6rs ran solo in the alms because they soundly defeated the dodge viper ,saleen s7, ferrari 550, lambos etc . Nobody could keep up except the aston martin dbr9...in the new class that the vettes have entered ( a lower level of cars mind you ) the c6rs had to drop down to a damn 5.5 liter engine just to run with the ***** *** porsches & ferraris and bmws...if that does not tell you something about who's faster ... Check out the 24hrs of lemans this wknd on speed channel...its on" vettes verus bmw, ferrari, and porsche
However, they were a fully backed factory team which is why they dominated. Dodge dropped out a long time ago. Ferrari beat them once as did Aston twice IIRC.
If you look at FIA in Europe, the other cars did quite well against non-factory C5Rs/C6Rs.
Even with the 6.0s last year, they were at the top but not always the fastest. Now they are production based though.

C5R & C6Rs weren't very competitive until they were granted the 427ci engine long before the C6Z. Then they were great race cars. But they are custom tube-frame cars, not production based like the S7R (which is in itself a gray area).
