Haha thats what I told him about my friend Andy. I was like you are trapping barely a mph higher than my buddy Andy and I wonder what he could do if he actually had traction.

But thats another story. Besides the few small headaches along the way, I love my LT1.

BTW Roxy is not a sir

People used to think I was lying when I would say my stock (except a catback) LT1 beat up on some LS1s. Everyone thought it was BS. Then I went to the track and ran a 13.3 with it!!. Didnt hear much after that from the haters.

Good Kill!!!

It's fun beating ls1's with a lt1 I agree, but thats about it... in the end you spend more time working on a lt1 more than driving it lmao. Don;t take this post the wrong way, I love lt cars, although I decided to sell mine and try a ls car... no regrets tho, I love this ls, nothing like running 12.6-12.7s @ 111-112 with boltons on street tires. While still getting 24mpg even with 3.73's in a a4.

lol alot of people discredit the lt1, but they can run hard setup correctly. your car is a perfect example of that!

I got down with an LS1 Formula last week from 35-75 and his nose was about 3ft in front of mine when we shut down. My car sux from a roll, Im sure I could get him from a dig, next time. Have no idea on his mods besides exhaust, and he had a gauge pod too so who knows.

From my impression on both cars the LT-1 seems have more torque out of the hole but the LS-1 pulls harder up top.

Good kill man!

I love running LS cars with the Wifes LT1.

I always get accused of having nitrous afterwards!

The last one I ran had a mild cam and ls6 heads. His brother origionally owned and built the car. He just could not grasp the concept that our cammed LT1 with stock heads was quicker the the LS1 SS

Stock for stock thats exactly the way they pull. Modded, that all changes.
With the AI H/C set up on the Wifes car pulls more like an LS1: not too much torque down low, strong midrange, hard top end pull.

+1, always fun running into LS1's on the street who try to pick on my LT1. I always get the rev when they get next to me, but refuse to look at me at the next red light cause they were 5-10 cars behind I've had people tell me their stock LS1 would be right up there with me even after giving them the specs of what's under hood

NO LT1 WILL EVER BEAT MY LS1!

Seriously. Just kidding. I love lt1's. They make great power and have a much more raw sound to them. Only thing I wouldn't like is optispark, but you got to take the good with the bad. My buddy's 97 T/A with lt headers and a y pipe with stock exhaust and no tune ran a 14.2 on stock tires. That's pretty dang good from most of the lt1's I've seen over here. I think humidity kills it in the summer time

Alot of people don't understand an lt1 is a small block chevy 350....its still a great motor. I really do not mind having the lt1 since most people think it is slow. Pulling on random mustangs, and stock ls1 cars are great....coming out of the hole and roasting the **** out of them is hilarious.

I have a small cam, full bolton lt1, the cam plus a 3400 stall converter makes the car pull pretty hard on the expressway, and holeshots like crazy at a stop light.

All respect to Ls1 powered cars, and when the lt1 blows up in my car, I will probably switch to a lsx motor....I know its the easy way out, but having a 6.0 truck block bored out with l92 heads and a decent cam seem to make some pretty good power without any power adders..

Absolutely.
Hotcam + 80 Shot put my car at 12.06 @ 117 with a 2.0 60'. I was trying to preserve the rear end. With the MPH, it definitely had an 11 second pass in it.
