I'll take that notch off your hands, btw. Would love to do a H/C/I 351W-based stroker with a T56 swap. In fact, that's my plan once I get out of school.

But to the OP if you can drive it shouldn't be much of a problem. Its a drivers race.
I dunno about that... I raced my friends 97 Formula a4 hardtop stock to stock a few months back and I would edge him out every time. I suppose a 6speed would beat me. You might have been racing automatic ones. Keep in mind: A G35 is a lot heavier than a Z. I didn't buy it to go fast, it just fit my DD criteria.

I've had the notch for about 11 1/2 years now, it has more sentimental value to me than my two newer cars do. lol I don't think I would ever sell it, but then again if times got rough well you never know. You just don't see too many clean notches around these days. Whenever I do see a clean fox it's always a GT or LX hatch. A 351 would be nice though, and would be a lot more torquey than the 306 that's in there now.

The 370z hooks really well: 0-60mph bone stock is over 1/2 second faster than even the 2002 SS/WS6 cars. Don't worry about what you are reading above either: you will pull on him up top- last I checked the 370Z cars are not .5 second + faster than the LS1 cars. If your launching abilities are in question at all, then go for a low roll race.

Also, don't compare them to a 350Z: 370Z is alot faster! Matter of fact, I raced a NISMO 350Z (supercharged) one week, then on the exact same spot of highway two weeks later ran a then-just-released 370Z: My guess is the 370Z would have edged out the NISMO 350Z. I was CAI and tune only then, and in a A4, and put about 2 cars on both from 55-110mph.
Thats very helpful info right there. Thank you

Wow that's crazy. I raced my buddies g35 coupe with my full bolt on notch at the time with 3.73s and I put about 3 cars on him when we shut down at about 90. (Traffic)This was from a 20 roll.

Thats why... this thing is realllllllly slow from a low speed roll for some reason, probably because it makes about 7 ft/lbs of torque. I can hang with 3v Mustangs on the highway (Yea, i'm gettin' flamed for that one) but I raced this guy from my class in an 07 GT 5spd with exhaust from a 20ish roll and got raped. He just kept pulling and pulling. Had to drive the Camaro to school the next day just so I didn't have to deal with his **** talking.
I had a AOD LX last summer, gutted with bolt ons and a mild cam with 3.73s, I'd say it would beat the G35 to at least 60.

the g35 were always a 2-3 tenths slower and 1-2 mph slower than the 350z's and its the same with the g37/370z.

and to that video above. zterm ran 12.800@110mph with intake, exahust, headers, and 4.08 gears in his 370z. thats more than quick enoguh to keep up with a exhaust, intake header ls1. since majority of them run those very same times

It's the weight advantage you guys have (roughly 200-300 lbs) that allow the 370 to keep up and even then an LS1 still has the edge. Bolt-on 370's don't make the kind of power/torque bolt-on LS1's do that's for sure. Now make things a little more even and add a passenger to the 370 (like in the case of the video in this thread) and see what happens.

God only 12.8 @ 110 mph with full exhaust, intake and a 4.08 rear? Thats not impressive at all.

I don't think that 4.08 is too much steeper than stock. My S2000 had 4.10s stock, people would upgrade to 4.57s (IIRC).

Yep. My old Integra GS-R had a 4.40 final drive stock. 80mph was 4,000rpm in 5th gear. But of course there was 8,100rpm to work with. IIRC 80mph was ~4,400rpm in the S2000 in 6th gear, 9,000rpm redline.

370z's r slow, you will win easy unless you have no idea how to drive.

It's basically going to be like racing a stock LS1 until 120mph+.

Somewhat of a drivers race... maybe an edge to you.

What makes me laugh however are the people saying 12.8 isn't impressive for what he has done, trying to make things even by adding a passenger, etc. Its not a camaro.

The 370z has a weight advantage and technology trying to make up for the fact that its a v6 with 2.0L less displacement than the ls1s.... id say nissan deserves some respect for making a quick sportscar that handles great.
