It's my GT and it's on the stock long block. A built motor (same comp as stock) has little to do with how much power you make. Just how much power it can handle.

The car is VERY reliable at 473. It's all in the tuning.

Whats so bad about roll racing? It shows the "true" faster car, not which hooks better. I love both though, drag and roll!

I don't really bash Mustangs or any other cars, especially ones that should be respected. That was more of a joke on how many nutswingers we have attending this section.

throw some boost on there and tell them you'll match boost for a run

also for the guys saying he shouldve beaten them worse, notice he put heavier wheels on the car, as well as some sloppy shifting
Oh boy

With the stock tranny and cams, I hope he doesn't do that in every gear. But, that's MO.

I'd like to run that Mach 1, was gonna show up but now that I know that. insomz only put a couple of cars on it I'm not sure if my cam only would keep up. I'd still run it though, not afraid to lose.

Since your an auto I'd only run from a dig. Autos usually do not do well from a roll.

I've you've got a stall your going to have a pretty good chance from a dig though if your north of 450rwhp.

Just over 11.5K miles. There are plenty of SC'd mustangs out there with well over 30K pushing 470 to 500hp.

I think a cam only LS1 w/ a decent sized converter and a good cam would be a dead even race with a eaton mach 1. You should race em... whats the specs on your cam?

I think that's one of those 'internet' things. pushing ~460+ rwhp SAE numbers on a stock N/A block modular is a ticking time bomb. A good tune will only extend the life, it will not keep it. I can' tell you how many people I've run into with the same thought as yours.................

until they blow their motor.

I'm not saying it wont' last 30k+ I'm saying that's a good amount of mileage and you've gotten good usage out of a stock block if it blows after that. Until then, it's not much to brag about.

You can have a 600rwhp stock motor Mach 1 and it live for 100,000 miles if you never get on it. But I can tell you first hand if you go WOT a good bit a stock shortblock WILL NOT live 30,000 miles @ 500rwhp. When my 99 Cobra motor was on the engine stand you could turn it upside down and it sounded like a piggy bank. 4 broken rods and ruined the crank.

Sorry brotha but stopsign is correct! My car can run 14.0@130mph and yours run 10.90@120 in the 1/4 and guess what? The slower E.T. car will pull from a roll. Any real street racer knows this!

I am not a huge fan of roll racing but I have done both, I just can't see the point in making 500 rwhp if you can only hook up 350 of it, but yeah I have done it a few times with cars on street tires, and or people that have too much power and not enough suspension/tires/driver.

Racing from a dig is where the skill comes in, bad launch even against a slower car can do you in unless you pull like a bastard, for a manual someone who can slam gears makes a night and day difference over someone who shifts so that you can hear birds chirp in between.

Nice kills OP, and as a former 4V owner as well some pretty sick Mustangs.
