Default T-top FLIES OFF during pull with 2010 Camaro SS WITH VIDEO!

Was setting up to do a pull against a 2010 Camaro SS on NOS with my Trans Am WS6, when the T-top flies off! Video tells the story, but in short, the mechanic working on my A/C prior that day popped the tops when putting the car on the lift and failed to latch them back.
ENJOY! cuz I sure didn't.....

I guarantee you that passenger side top hadn't left the car more than an inch and I was lookin straight up latchin the one above my head!!!
Supposedly, unlatching the tops "reduces flex" on the car when you put it on a split lift. I've put that thing in the air 50 times myself and never had one bust. I've seen T-top Fbodies wheelstand off the line and slap the ground and not bust the tops, so they gotta be durable enough to withstand a hydraulic lift....

Wish those doors would have came off of that Camaro instead of the OP's T-tops. That sucks, hopefully you can get one for decent price at a junk yard easily enough.

Haha...yall are funny on the lambo door hate.
As far as gettin one for a decent price, you mean getting one for FREE from the shop that left them unlatched, didn't you? That's what I thought you meant They're gonna take care of it....hopefully it's comparable condition and doesn't leak. That's the one thing I loved about my T's.....dry as a bone

The same exact thing happened to me once. I did get lucky enough that it didn't break and missed the car behind me. I was going ~65mph and it actually hit the highway and bounced into the median I was able to pick it up wipe some dirt off and its still in the car to this day. In hindsight I should've played the lotto that day.

It's not only the lame lambo doors, but the little body-kit looks pretty shitty too.
