One of my customers/friends has an A5 2006 Mustang GT. It has an x-pipe, cold air kit, and tuning and runs low 13s. It went 13.26 a couple of weeks ago in decent air. (It's probably 13.0 capable in good air) That's really not too bad and is certainly on par with your average A4 LS1. My a4 transam needed long tubes, intake, lid, and exhaust to run 12.97 in good air. I know it took Ford like 7 years to make a car that can hang with an LS1 F-body but it does hang ok. Oh and I will say that the 3 valve stangs suck without a tune... they seem closer to LT1 cars on stock tuning.

my 05 GT with nsr cams (no springs required) and bolt ons made 330/314. before the cams and long tubes the car ran a 12.91@107 on street tires. they run ok but the LS stuff still has quite an advantage.

sounds like the mustang guy was talking about flywheel hp. Nothing wrong with that.
