Friend of mine would use that setup in his fox. would strap a 200 shot on it, take it to the track a couple times, blow the engine, go get a new block from the junkyard and start all over again. He did this for a couple years. Had a lot of fun with it and got in a bad wreck totalling the car

Heads/intake for under $500! I actually ran that setup about 6-7 years ago. It would hang with a stock ls1 auto or a stick driver that wasnt too good....any mods on the ls1 and I was toast thou.

a friend of mine had an 87 5.0 with cams,trick flow manifold,tb spacer,throttle body,intake,headers-exhaust/off road,short shifter and i use to beat him by about 9 cars or so in my nissan 350z with exhaust/still had cats,manifold,short ram intake..
i just bought a 98 z28 6speed completey stock except for a borla catback about a month ago and we tested it against my 350z/with a friend driving the 350z and i beat it by about 4 1/2 cars.
i have 4 friends with the 4.6 mustangs, 2 with 5.0s and all they do is talk **** cause i have a chevy now but yet when i call them out on it to run them all i hear is complete silence.... i just let them talk since they wont step up to the plate..
but good luck on that rematch..u should have no problem beating him..

Sig quoted! LOL, I had 2 freinds with identicle set ups just like that. They thought there 2 foxbodies were the badest cars in town until they dynoed. One made 272 I think and the other with a 306 and bigger cam made 299 on a dynojet. I LOL'ed at them! Suckers. No replacement for displacement except boost!

I have a friend with a 1996 Mustang GT with ported heads from a 2001 GT, PI intake manifold, Stage 2 comp cams, & Ford Racing shorty headers (untuned) went from a 30 roll. Red lined & spun a little bit in first as I began my pull. Once in 2nd I just started to walk away.... After the race his "excuse" was he was in 3rd? But honestly I just think his **** is SLOW as ****. Cuz me & my friend both heard him downshift a **** load of times so I don't know? Were suppose to do a rematch soon. So were see? The older 5.0 were just junk no offense to you Mustang owners on here
