Cammed 5.3 in my 02 Z-28 vs stock Fbody In Dec. I blew my 5.7, Swapped in a 5.3 with a small cam 218/218 .563 .563 114 lsa. after the tune it put down 340hp and 307tq. At a light I pull up and there is a stock Z-28. I asked him if he wanted some of this. he says "a little" I took off nice and easy so I didn't spin by the time I got through 1st i was about 1/2 length ahead 2nd gear I pull about another car. 3rd was another car length. I was pretty happy with my little 5.3L. There is still more I can do as of right now its a a cam only with LT headers. I think the car drives better with the 5.3 than the 5.7.
