It's also 4300lbs and I wonder how aggressive the TC allows it to build rpms.

Supposedly the stock TC is a handicap (more than usual) for the TB SS.

That stuff I don't really care about. It's the fact that he has yet to apologize for being wrong, and talking down to the people that were right about the new 5.0 times.

He can ****-talk all he wants. As long as he makes good when he's wrong. And he doesn't seem to be able to do that.

So your saying because it was a 'street' race it has no real relevance? I sure hope your not, as that would be a very lame excuse to use.

On another note, 2011 GT owners better watch out if all a Taurus SHO needs is a simple tune to walk one like that. With a vehicle curb weight of 4400lbs that little EcoBoost V6 must be one strong mule.

Come on man I know you're smarter than that. It doesn't take a genious to figure out that AWD > RWD when on the street with both cars running street tires. The 5.0 was coming around hard on the back end too.

When are you gonna put some slicks and a powerglide in that ZR1 and get a real time?

I gave the 5.0 its props. I'm not going to apologize for saying its not gonna run 12's stock at every track! The only real videos that have surfaced are 5.0's purchased by mustang tuners who have ran the fast times. They have used nitrous, slicks 4.56 gears and major suspension work. I can back up my talk! That sho left that 5.0. The video shows it no matter what you ford fanboys say.

No, you said it wouldn't run 12s stock. You also said a ton of other things it wouldn't do that it's done. Would you like me to go back and quote them all? I can if you want.

Anyone can talk smack. It takes someone with a bit of credibility to actually admit they were wrong. You obviously have none.

They used nitrous, drag radials, 4.56s, and MINOR suspension work (if you can call any suspension work minor) to get in the 10s... not the 12s.

as if we needed more show of his blind bowtie nuthugging?....funny how he totally missed the point of those mods to hit 10s..

The fact that he actually thinks that vid is a full 1320 makes me wonder if he's ever really been to a 1320 track. Maybe his times are estimates off of an 1/8mile track.

well, in that case the 2010 LS3 Camaro owners have MORE reason to worry about the SHO since the Mustang had as much trouble as it did and we all know the new 5.0 is faster than the LS3 Camaro.

I haven't liked the way the Mustang looked in the back since 2005. This is the first one I've liked since the NewEdges.

We went to the track last night in high 80 degree heat and the SHO ran 13.3 and the Mustang ran 13.2. I also took our stock 2010 L99 Camaro. It was going 14.0 and then went 13.9. The Mustang beat me all night, then we installed a Rotofab CAI and our tuner Dan tuned it and it went 13.0.

What was the DA? What track did you run at? Trap speeds for each?

The SHO went 100 mph
The Mustang went 107 mph
The Camaro went 100.9 mph stock and 106.6 with CAI and tune

That DA blows but 100.9 stock? That sucks big time, even in an auto. Was it running right?

Either way, it definitely shows how hard the 5.0 was pullin on the SHO up top but that on the street, the SHO probably had the advantage from a dig. Close ET's at the track between a RWD and AWD car typically means bad news for the RWD car on the street from a dig since they won't usually do as well without the nice prepped track.

I was thinking the same time. I bet my G8 could come close to that in the same DA

You make a valid point. I just expected the GT to walk around the SHO a lot quicker than it did. With the GT being a full second quicker and trapping about 7-9mph faster stock for stock I didn't imagine the SHO would compete like it did with just a tune. Even with AWD. I feel bad for the unsuspecting 2011 owner that pulls up to the light next to one of these things.

Haha. I know I know. I'm gonna slap some better rubber on real soon and go for that 9-second slip. As far as a powerglide, never ever in a million years. lol

ARCTIC '00, those are great numbers from your ZR1. Have you been beaten on the street with that setup?
