so headin home from work i see a 80's mustang in the rearview mirror so the light turns red he pulls up next to me, he obviously has a few mods on his 5.0 intake exhaust and probably a few other bolt ons. so he rolls down the window and his friend says "what's in that a 5.0" and i said "nope ls1 5.7". his friend says "ooo really" all scarcastic they kinda laugh. well its pretty much over cause he obviously knows nothing about an ls1 but i decide to put him in his place. light goes green and he's pullin on me from the start (2.73 gear ratio in mine) but when 40mph comes im into the powerband and scream past him had about 3 lenghts on him by 90mph when i let off but, when he pulled up beside me agin he wouldn't even look over. GREAT feeling

i really need a better gear ratio tho

I dont understand how ignorant some people are. I've owned both cars and its obvious which one has more potential, especially with just bolt ons. LS1 > 5.0 Good kill

TYVM i was laughin but they didn't see me. i bet they beat a few stock lt1's and some turd-gens n thought they could take a stock ls1. now they know their place
