Blown 72 Camaro

Blown 72 Camaro I raced a blown 72 Camaro tonight. It's a 9:1 355 with World heads (shitty) and a small blower. 5lbs of boost is all it had.
Turbo 350, cage, etc. He said it was a 10.0 car at one time but this setup was WAY milder.
Anyway, we agree to go and head out to the spot. Mexico
First run I wasnt paying attention and didnt get on the 2 step before the flagger dropped his arms. Still just nailed it and slid the clutch out. Pulled maybe half a car in 1st, 2nd, then 3rd and 4th pulled another car. Fairly close race.
He wanted to go again so we line up and this go round I had plenty of time to get up on the 2 step and really tree the flagger. Arms drop and I do a perfect launch. Clutch slips for the first 30-40 feet but the tires never break loose. By the time I bang 2nd I have about 1.5 cars on him. Keep pulling through every gear and when I hit the brakes at 110 had a solid 3 cars on him.
He was surprised. Said he was gonna put his 383 in it and would be back to race me in a couple weeks. Hopefully I'll have my clutch done by then and I'll spray him
