Ehhh. Even if he was pulley/ported I doubt spray would even the playing field totally.

Honorable loss and good post.

Races like this always seems to make the mod bug bite hard.

Hmmmm.....mine is about 2 seconds and 20mph faster than your car in the 1/4 mile. You need to run a Cobra that has a pair of *****. Stop picking on stock cars.

My buddy has an '04 GT that he just put a KB on. He hasn't gotten a tune yet but I'm way to scared to even **** with him. Not until I get a few more mods lol.

You ran into a half *** decent one on the highway yet? I got a buddy with a ported/pullied Cobra.. Don't worry though, he only makes 515Rwhp/530Rwtq.. Only running bottom 11s @ 122+mph... Slow, right? You are calling Cobras slow but yet run BARELY faster than what a stock Cobra runs. Awesome man.

I seriously just laughed out loud....very good post Lemons.

KUDOS.....as fast cars that I've had, there's always been a faster one just around the corner...you never know till you try and that you did. I got bounced by one in the V the other day, and the "JET" thing....I'm still laughing cause I know how it is...I did get about a 2 length kill on a GTO yesterday...you win and you lose...thumbs up for tryin

Agreed. To put that many cars on him over that short of a distance, I would tend to agree.

Some local guys I know had a LS1 Fbody versus bolton/pullied/ Cobra contest last year. He finally walked the Cobra after he put a 150shot on ontop of his full boltons.

One of the few cars out there that requires a LS1 Fbody to more or less match there dyno numbers in order to take them in a roll race. Not many cars can say that- even most of the lighter turbo imports can't make that claim!

Respectable loss bro!
Mod up and try again. Thats the name of the game.
Hell I raced a 76 mm Turbo Cobra just the other night and got beat. Not by as much as I thought, But he also put down 700whp. I only put down somewhere in the viciity of 500whp.
Ask me how I beat him by 1/4 car and I'll tell you IDFK. lol Well it was by default. hahaha - He went to grab the next gear and I pulled 1/4 car. But I thought he let out (and I let off of it), apparently he didn't let up though. My mistake.
And then the 2nd race, he beat me by about a 1/2 to 1 car. I let out b/c we were coming up on traffic about 1/4 mile ahead and I didn't wanna get trapped in a situation that could get dangerous for either of us.

Here are my vids if you don't mind...

Nice death OP. I always wanted to run a termi, only got to run what I though was one that turned out to be a bone stock automatic GT with the full body kit on it. I dragged him about as hard as that guy did to you, 15+ cars by the top of 4th (I was making 450rwhp, him maybe 230ish?).

Took me the mods in my sig(granted im about 500+lbs more then an fbody and 200-300 more then an 03 cobra to hang door to door with a pullied/long tube cobra until 4th when i started to creep away.

Pullied cobras are no joke, they are 119-120mph cars with good drivers....way too much for a bolt on LS1 to handle. Good try though.

I wouldnt mess with a ported blower cobra or above. But had my share of races with pullied and stock (exhaust cobra). If you race a cobra on a high roll like 50 forget about it.. lol they can jump good (pullied & tuned). What i did is take him for a 20 roll and bang the gears. Hold him off by half a car the whole way. Those cobra are just animals..lol

On average it is a dead nuts race with the fbody being down around 50Rwhp.. On average it is about dead nuts even with a C5Z/Cobra with the C5Z being down around 75Rwhp. From what I have seen at least.

I wouldn't worry about it then... I would guess 400Rwhp max without a very good curve. I could be wrong though, I'm not a mustang guru by any means.. Just enough to get me by.

They run hard from a roll!

Get a few more mods on your belt and go back after him. Cobras taste like chicken!
Hahahaha. I cant wait to have a piece. They do roll out tho!
