With the new intake setup? No.

Ego killer and I just got done for the day working on the ported FAST 102 install/rails/etc... I have to order a 102TB though because the PTM 95 is not going to fit. The 102 intake is a little bit of a pain to install, especially compared to a 90 or 92.
Everything should be installed by next weekend (don't have time during week to work on cars) and then the weekend after that I will go get a tune and back to the track. Not expecting too much better than last track visit with the ls6 intake setup and nitrous tune though because of this awesome 100+ heat index and insane humidity.

I don't do rolls, especially on video.. this is my two buddies, I am camera man here. Never ran the z.. cobra ran 7.6-.7@90 iirc before the port. Ran after port and he pulled around 2 on me from a 45-50 roll never got to run after I got my new intake and tune from a ropl or his port at track. I'd say 1.5 from same roll and I would have around .2-.3 quicker et.

I'm sure I will do a few rolls with the new setup though!

So thanks for sharing the video.

Couple of questions though,

Were both of these cars in 3rd gear out of that 50 roll? Or was the vette in 2nd and cobra in 3rd?

Does the vette have gears too? Our cars get to 145 at 6500rpms on 4th so not sure why he would shift to 5th since the cobra will also only go to 145 in 4th at 6500rpms and they wont run in 5th due to possible damage to the engine...

Also seemed like the cobra fell asleep at the take off out of the 3rd honk...

Need more vids during daytime!

Caleb or thomas would have to time in to be sure, been a while. Iirc thy were both in third. I remember they were both in the same gear starting out.

The vette short shifted extremely short the last shift, iirc it was around 5400rpms. The cobra was at 7400rpms iirc in 4th at the end of the race, never shifted into 5th.

The take off was one of the closest I have ever seen in a street race, I wish all mine were that close. Of course Im an a4 so the m6 guys usually jump me anyway, I give Chase though.

Cobra now has headers and a Whipple and been sold, up for sale again though. The z has also been sold.

Nice race. Ported and pulled cobras are pretty beast. I've only had a chance to run one from a 40 roll. A buddy of mine just bought a 03 cobra from Denver. He wants revenge, since I always beat his 2v GT up.

Nice, just wondering... as I have also had to do many 3rd gear rolls because of lack of traction in second with old tires.

That short shifting would explain a lot. I guess the vette guy got too excited!

Just acalled cobra owner.. both in third.

You had to beg him to get on it and he usually shifted then around 4500.. he babied that car, just wasn't use to winding it out that far.

Yea, I short shifted the hell out of that final gear, you know me Evan, dont like getting it above 3800 RPM lol. THat was one hell of a race and my old Z was one hell of a stout car for the mods it had. Good setup indeed. And no, they were stock 3.42 gears.

Hell yea it did.. wish you still had it. Time to throw some fi on the ls3 though and see what that bitch can do!
