Now as far as a full exhaust, lid, big cam'd LS1's: I've seen at least a dozen LS1 cars with cams and FULL boltons not hit 400rwhp. on 3 different dyno's. I've also seen 3 cars with LS6/LS2 heads and mid level cams & full boltons not hit 400rwhp. Not saying it's impossible or that guys havent done it, but I'm thinking it's more to do with a f*ed up innaccurate dyno or a operator who gives the customer what they want to hear.
For you guys that got a 4xxrwhp cam only LS1 (yes, I realize there is quite a few who list 4xxrwhp in there sigs on this site alone): ever had it to another dyno, say during a local dyno day meet? What did it put down on that neutral dyno? Hmm? <crickets>

$25 to ANYBODY'S PayPal who can show me a 400rwhp LS1 that is making that with ONLY a GM hotcam. No headers, no catback, on stock unported TB & Intake manifold, no lid, no NOTHING except a K&N filter. I dare you.

So can you hear the blower on a stock 03 cobra or they need a pully to hear it.
I have a stock tb non ported. I got my car Dyno on a dyno jet at a mustang shop, I use same dyno to see before and after. It's also the closes dyno to my house.

I read this guys story and figured he had 550 rwhp from a killer set up...Then I get down and read about the hotcam and 398 rwhp and Im like WTF????
If you ever actually run a turbo viper than you will know...The slowest trap Ive ever read from a turbo Viper is like 133 mph..The fastest are in the 170's...Most are 140's or 150's...
Turbo Vipers are basically the cream of the crop at the 1/4 mile. I think a 6 speed streetable viper still holds the record with a 7.xx 1/4 mile..
It would be like a stock ls1 fbody running a stock honda civic...
But who knows maybe the second one you raced was a stocker and it seems like you had a pretty decent run

Something sounds fishy on the viper deal. My little cam DID make over 400hp and I was stuck to a almost exhaust only 98 gts viper from a high speed roll.... And theres over 5 guys in my area who made well over 400 to the wheels cam only and a couple are autos.
