surprised by an lt1...
I was heading to the gym yesterday when I passed a ragged out looking, green lt1 camaro with a 250lbish driver. I didn't think much of it until I see him trying to fly past me. I punched it thinking I may be able to look stupid but wasn't able to overcome his charge. As he passed he had was all smiles waving his hand forward like he just punked me.
At this point I was pretty annoyed and lined up next to him at 80mph, confident I was going to put him in his place. I honked off 3 and hit the throttle. To my surprise he stayed right next to me till 125ish with me maybe inching away???
His car was fairly quiet and really thought it was pretty stock but apparently not. I have raced a couple of stockish ls1s top end and I am about even in the blazer.

Well, thats why I never under estimate anyone.. I had an old guy pull next to my rear qtr panel and was looking over in his "simple -quiet" lt1 Z28.. Little did I know (until he were running that he was supercharged)...it hung dead even with me.. I was shocked cause he was an older gentleman..
But, good run..
But, good run..

I really wish I had gotten a chance to find out what he had done. Unfortunately I have only made two passes in the tbss. One with paper plates in august heat with a 14.6 and the other about a month ago at 13.7 with a 2.2 60. I have since lowered it and added a 3200 stall. I would imagine 13.2-5.

I ran the times in my sig (13 flat in the 1/4) with Ebay stainless steel headers, y-pipe, and slp lm2 exhaust. I just wanted cheap exhaust and got what I paid for. I'd say its very lightly modded also
