wow didnt think a 430whp G8 will do that to a GTR.... thought it will need at least 450whp!! im impressed! so my camaro will beat stock GTRs much worse than this in few weeks then!! I will have about 450-460whp

They definitely move out better than a low 12-second car from a roll. I went from a bad spot for me on the highway and got walked by one with a passenger in it (no passenger in my car). If we had gone from a good spot for me, it would have been a very close race. I went 11.4's at 121 all day in cold weather at a good track and 11.7's at 117 all day in hot weather at a mediocre track. Don't underestimate those things on the highway just because their strong point is from a dig. It'll take a solid 120+ trap car to keep up or beat them from a roll on the highway based on my experience. They move out.

That G8 is a monster. Even in stock form they impress the hell out of me on the highway and especially into the triple digits. The gearing is great for that car up top, and a cam puts it on a whole new level.

The Lumina SS is NOT LS3 the engine is L98 same as G8.

I asummed it was a LS3 because here in the States I think the GXP (ls3 ) G8 is the only model that Comes with M6.
The reg G8 is auto only.

No in Middle East the engine called L98 it the same engine as Auto G8.





Around here the Lumina SS comes with auto or Manual but both comes with L98 Engine ( 6.0 L Same as auto G8 Engine)

Those cars are very impressive...

From a dead stop to 120 mph think C6Z06 performance

From a roll of 50 to 140 mph think 1996 GTS Viper performance

Add intake/tune exhaust and think ZR1 performance

Nothing slow about them....

In the states the 6.0L in the G8 GT's (All Automatics) is known as an L76. The G8 GXP's (Auto & Manual) came with the 6.2L LS3.

Maybe the L98 in the Middle East is closer to the Ls3 in the states then the L76??? Idk but either way. G8's/Lumina's move out very well.

Yes it does. Intake/exhaust/tune = 100++WHP, 10 second 1/4 miles, and 130+MPH traps.

Actully if you watch the vids of the HKS 570 kit equipped GTR's vs the stock ZR1's..

It looks like the GTR is1-2 cars ahead of the ZR1 on most of the runs and 3-5 cars ahead of the C6Z06..

And my understanding is that the 570 HKS kit is just exhaust/intake/tune still on the stock turbos..The bottom line is that those cars are just sick..Not beautiful by anymeans but they are amazing in every performance catergory..

0-60 in 3.3 seconds..No problem

1/4 mile in mid 11's...No problem

Mid 7's at the Ring....No problem

The only thing thats not mind bending is the 117-121 mph trapp speeds..But thats not exactly bad eighter..

So now imagine all that stock performance and you leave the intake/exhaust yada yada yada all stock but just retune the pcm for another 6 pounds of boost..

Now your doing 0-60 in the 2's and running 10's at 125-129 mph..


We got a guy on our Viper board that has a 2008 Viper and 2009 GTR..Stock he ran around 11.5 at 127 in his Viper and 11.7 at 121 mph in his GTR..

he added bolt ons to his Viper and ran a 10.9 at 130 mph..he did the tune and exhaust to his GTR and ran 11.0 at 127 mph...

Anyone who underestimates those cars is in for a rude awakening..

I speak from a previous **** rapeing myself when I thought my 550 HP snake would be a decent match for this 800 HP GTR like I was against 700 and 800 HP Supras..

The HKS 570 GTR is intake exhaust and tune, and it was beating up on stock ZR1s FROM A ROLL.

Thats why I'm suprised that a stock one loses to a mildly modded G8 but add a few mods and it beats up ZR1s.

You say a few mods but those turbo cars are just differant..hell just look at the supras..290 rwhp stock and 400 rwhp with just down pipe exhaust and tune..
