Cammed G8 vs GTR R35 Hey guys 
Just a small run between
Bone stock GT R35 vs Full exhaust/Intake/Mild cam/Tune M6 G8
(Lumina SS around here) estimated around 420-430rwhp.
20 - 160mph both cars have one passenger.

11.6's-11.8's in the 1/4 because it does so good from a stop w/ it's launch control an awd. Take away it's launch and its comparable to a low 12 second car from a roll, nothing a H/C LSX will have any problems with.
GTR's can beat C6 Z06 from a stop but are no match for them from a roll.

Also, from my experience, most GTRs aren't stock either and they get up to 205mph (well this one guys in OK did, not sure if that's standard).

I understand this, but he's talking as if a CAI/Headers will get you to beat a GTR. H/C is another ballpark for your everyday joe.

I would walk out on most ls cars for sure. Would take a decent H/C car. A nasty cam only car could give it a run but certainly not your average TQ2 cam with pacesetters car ( no offense to anyone )

ive only seen one modded one. Now it was fast no doubt but i was expecting a little more. Hooked very well and did real well till about 100. Honestly the top end didnt impress me for how fast the car was everywhere else.

Of course you turn the boost on a GTR and I'm sure they respond very well. Out here in So Cal you are lucky to see a stock GTR let alone a modded one.
I wonder how a stock 2010 LS3 vette will do from a roll against a stock GTR?

Im very impressed. He didnt just barely beat him, it was a pretty steady pull. Oh and I would like to see some timeslips of mid 11 sec full weight CAM ONLY G8's. Not saying its impossible but I would have to expect that it isnt the norm...

Great runs. This shows what I've been trying to tell the GTR fanbois I work with for some time now. Its fast out of the hole thanks to a heavy *** and AWD with good launch. Same as the 3000gt back in the day, you could cut 1.5 60' with street tires with ease and suprise people but it really falls off up top thanks to the gearing. Not saying there aren't some very fast GTR out there but its sure isn't the godmobile people try to make it out to be.

It will still do 190mph... the gearing isn't too bad. It "falls off" because it's a ~420whp 3,900lb car that runs the 1/4 mile times comparable to ~440rwhp 3,200lb cars.

Also all it takes is intake/exhaust/tune in a GT-R to go from a mid 11 second 121MPH car to a mid-high 10 second 130MPH car.
