My 2010 Camaro VS Corvette C6 **VIDEO** My 2010 LS3 Camaro VS a friend's 2007 LS2 C6. the camaro was bone stock back then and the C6 is an auto with a borla catback + xpipe. all are roll races ((sorry no dig runs, the C6 had issues hooking even at 35mph roll))

I was new to the car when these races happened, a 45mph-55mph roll in 2nd gear was killing the car a bit... now I either do 30-35mph in 1st or 60-65mph in 2nd... I sometimes do in between, but only if i had to (the other car wont run the speeds I want, OR if I knew I will beat the other car LOL) or just for fun, because really sometimes I just dont care
I was really happy with the outcome, didnt expect to beat a C6 esp with the weight difference. im sure a lot of people wont believe this, but thats what happened... I wanted to run a 6speed LS2 C6, but I couldnt find any stock ones or one with minor mods (ie catback, CAI..)... it should be a better race for the C6 (I know since I had a 6 speed C6, and It was faster than the autos! just like in almost all cars)
I hope to run some other C6s before I get my cam on, which should be soon
I really want to see how these new camaros do with those C6s. car has bolt-ons now with no tune! I can say it will keep up/beat a stock LS3 auto vette from 1st for sure... but the C6 will catch up quickly after I hit 3rd gear...... but not the 6 speed with a good driver of corse! those are freaking fast

yeah me too, especially coz it was an auto... auto c6s put down around 340whp/340wtq while the 6speed about 350-360whp/345-355wtq some have seen even more. stock LS3 camaros put down about 370-375whp/ and 380wtq (30whp/40wtq over the auto C6...) I believe if it was a 6speed I will get a slight jump in 1st gear but he will catch up quicker.... probably by mid-end of 2nd gear!

Looks like the LS3 made up the weight difference really well until the speeds got hihg enough for aero to play a role.

EDIT: NV gears and weight make a huge difference after some investigation lol
But from my experiance i got pulled on by a stock LS2 harder then by a C5 Z. Drivers race i suppose.

on the streets things are different! the C5 Z06 normally traps 116-117 while the LS2 C6s 114-115. The C5Z have 120lbs less which really helps. with good drivers on both, I would say the c6 will be bumper to bumper with a C5Z maybe a little more for the Z (I have seen the opposite too but street racing have different factors!)
