. Atleast that's what somebody should assume when running into one on the street. Low 13s @ 106mph is obviously not as well as your car could run, as that is only a decent time for a stock 4th gen.

whats funny is im right now watching vidoes of cobalts with the trifecta tune running 20 psi, intake,muffler delete and shortthrow shifter... and he ran 13.6@106.... obviously thats game over for a 370z........... noway i could beat that... anyhow... maybe eventually this cat will get a tune in the cobalt and we can run again

3 of my friends have turbo Cobalts and 2 of them are GM stage 1 tuned. The best they've run out of the 2 of them is 13.6 @ 105. And the best any 3 of them did stock was 14.0 @ 101. Pretty quick but not really that impressive. My Regal tank did almost a half second quicker than the GMs1 cars.

lol @ you guys ragging on the cobalts. I can't wait for some little cobalt that costs half of your setup to come walk you like you're a fat kid at basic. Those things are beasts if their owners know how to set them up correctly and they're a lot cheaper than modding a goat or a ls1/2/3

Wasn't trying to argue that was just laughing at the guys saying cobalts got nothing. Those things are bloody fast with a right setup and cost virtually nothing to get that fast when compared to our cars. Yeah with the same setup our cars will smoke it but it'll sure as hell cost a lot more.

Well in that case I'll just build a $10k CRX and run 10s 
. If I'm gonna buy a car specifically to go fast in a straight line, it's gonna be RWD. I don't care how easy Cobalts are to make faster, they are still Cavaliers in my mind, and I haven't seen much quality-wise to make me think any different.

Seriously when i was getting out of hondas and selling my last few parts and my last hatch that is what 99% of people said about the GTO....."nice car but for the money...."
Like wow i was only swapping and modding hondas for a few years i had NO IDEA that i can make one faster then a GTO for LESS money, thanks for making me aware of my stupidity.

Well the truth is the Z has no competition for the $ and it's class. It's a RWD 2 dr sportscar. I don't want to hear Camaro SS, SRT8, or 5.0 comparisons. I want a good eye for an eye comparison with the 370z and another car in it's price range and class that's being produced TODAY.
Let's be serious though, it's not a god machine but it's still impressive and a blast. Plus.. if you've never driven the 370z I think the car makes me feel real confident and it feels pretty tight through corners or spirited driving...

At almost $40K they run neck in neck with a stock 1997 LT1.
370Z's need to pick on stock Cobalt SS and Hyundai Genesis!!!
Pretty soon we're going to have Smart car owners in here posting about beating GM Cavaliers!!!
