i asked my friend if he was wot. He said he was and he said I got the win. I also thought he would pull on me. But my car does run hard as hell for a bolt on LS1. I got my friends 94 z by many cars. He runs 12.8 over and over and over. Call bs if you want. I have no need to fab up a story. Like I said, we'll get a day time vid. I'll even open my hood and he'll open his to show the mods.

Ya, I must be stupid. No clue what his car sounds like at wot. Only seen the car from the first day he got it almost 1 year now. Seen the mods go on. Ride with him all the time. He also said he was wot far the race. He'll join this site soon and tell his side. It is a very nice car though. Wish I had one when I was 18.lol

I've even beaten this 2010 ss in my mildly modded 85 Mustang GT, he just cant really drive. It's definitely the driver mod and the fact that the kid has the reaction time of Ray Charles doesn't add to it at all.

This sounds a lot more believable now. His setup is good for almost 400rwhp. The autos also have more low end torque than the manuals so they take off a lot faster. Have someone who can drive, drive his car and I bet the SS would beat you.

Maybe the driver needs his ***** to drop so he can put the pedal down further. You said he hooked and you spun? That's because he was too conservative out of the hole. No offense directed to either of you, that's just my viewpoint of the deal. Good kill, keep it up.

how much is the weight difference,im just saying i seen 10ss run at my local track and all it did was a 9.1 in the 1/8 mile, and ive seen plenty stock ls1s run from 8.0 to 8.8 all day,im just saying from the factory the power to weight ratio is not impressive to me on the 10 ss,my 07tbss will be a closer race.not downing the 10ss,they are probaly the best looking camaro yet.and another thing my 00ss m6 ran a 8.35 completly stock ,thats with the spare tire in it,the only thing i did was take the filter out.

I think people are straying too far away from the "anything can happen on the street" mantra. I have full faith that the OP would have beaten the 5th gen. From how it sounds, it would have been worse for his friend if OP wasn't spinning.
I just want OP to give it the full beans for more than a few seconds (and he even said he'd get it on tape, so even better). I understand there was traffic, but you both owe it to yourselves and your cars to let them stretch their legs out a bit!

10ss are hard to hook, but once they're rolling they are fast as ****. With those mods he's near or at 400rwhp in an auto... a manual will be over 400rwhp...

they are? i've driven his 10ss with tc and stabilitrak off, punched it and it spun a bit nothing too crazy. They are beautiful cars but they're obese compared to a lot of cars out on the road. And like someone said in the above posts, anything can happen on the street. I damn near **** when I kept a half length on him from a roll.

power to weight,so what if he has 400rwhp he is still overweight, actually they probably have the same power to weight ratio in that race, the 10ss had my horsepower BUT he is a quiet bit heavier which probably helped him hook.

All I'm trying to say is that the setup that this SS was running is good for a low 12 run and he's pushing near or over 400rwhp. I just don't see the OP being able to beat him if drivers were equal.
Not taking anything away from the OP, but it's like saying I beat a z06 on the road with my SS... It can happen yeah...but it shouldn't.
