Well 5.0s are faster stock, and they are putting down well above 400rwhp with bolt-ons/tune, which is more than enough to run mid-high 11s... I think they have the 5th gen SS covered stock and modded.

When did people start freaking out over high 11 second cars?
I would have never guessed that bogarts M/t's steep gears and bolt ons could get you 11's..
Oh thats right... I did.. in my ls1 car... within 4 months of owning it.. weird...
High 12's? Ya... no bolt on car will touch that... wait a second... they do, Will, and have for... over a decade

- C&L Cold Air Intake System
- Evolution Performance, Inc. True Custom 93 Octane Tune
- American Racing 1 7/8 Longtube Headers with 3" Collector and Catted X-Pipe
- Magnaflow Competition Series 3" Catback Exhaust System
- Ford Racing 4.10 Gears
- Evolution Performance, Inc. Adjustable Panhard Bar
So... CAI, tune, headers, gears, and drag radials. I agree, my LS1 Z28 did the same thing, but that was with a Yank converter. But, we aren't comparing the 11GT to a a 98-02 LS1. It needs to be compared with the 10SS.
That 11GT is running a stock 6speed Auto and stock converter and minimal mods trapping 117-118mph.
No matter what you think, that is definitely performing! Add some "Bogarts" and an aftermarket converter and it would be EASY low 11s.

Sorry bro, what a bummer. I've been a GM guy forever. I do love ALL AMERICAN muscle and those stangs do look pretty nice. I still won't ever buy one. I've worried about those new 5.0's myself. I guess we can't call them 5. (slows) anymore.
I actually rented a 09 6 banger stang to drive to the Keys. It was either that or a Pt Cruiser. It had a lot of go for a 6'er. I was surprised.

I test drove new 5.0 last week while my company truck was being worked on. It pulled hard, (scared the **** out of the saleswoman), and the interior is beautiful. If you drive one you will want one.

Well atlease they don't run 12'slike magazines say they do. That I saw lastnight at Moroso. Low 13's is what I witnessed. Also maybe caused it was around 87* and 90% humidity.
The 2011 GT is a 12 second car. Period.

Cobalt are FASTER/BETTER focus
Chevy/GMC trucks ARE FASTER/BETTER than ford trucks
and the Z06/ZR1 will make anything else look like KE^IN
As soon as you start seeing ford motors swapped in GM platforms you can say GM is loosing..But for now EVERYONE uses a LSX/SBC/BBC in there Desert/offroad-Hotrod-street rod-import-lowrider-and yes MUSTANG to make it run good and go FAST..NOT a ford motor...What is fair to say is the new mustang is slightly faster than its direct competitor the Camaro, But that is only an LSA/LS7 fix away...Get off of the 5.0's nuts...geez

-*fixed*I think of a loud mouth punk inmate in prison who deserves to be raped/bf'd when I here those terms used..very deserving vigilante punishment for a molester/rapist..as far as my psyche...I feel good knowing MY car maker of choice is DOMINANT in every category...

Geez, the 5.0 is sweet and all but some of you guys are putting 1000's on it! I mean, 11's bolt-on only, 10's bolt-on + weight reduction, 10's bolt-ons + nitrous is fantastic and all but it's not like the LS1 didn't set that benchmark a long time ago. Deep down I think we all know the LSx platform ("outdated" and all) is still just as capable.

In that segment GM is LOOSING....badly. Guess the ignorant here is you, who cannot even follow a thread. Guess reality is too much for some to handle.
