KB Cobra Kill
We did the "I pass you, you pass me" a couple times then lined up at about 80. He downshifted and hit it first. I put it into 4th and hammered it. I started to pull at a reasonable clip and had (I'm guessing) about 4 to 5 carlengths on him by the top of 4th (~125ish)
We slowed down and exchanged HP numbers. He was 640 HP with the standard KB stuff...not bad.
We tried to go again from a 3rd gear punch, but a one-in-a-million happened. He threw his supercharger belt and I broke mine at almost exactly the same time. Both cars nosed over at the top of third. I thought we had hit something. We both pulled over popped the hoods and saw that his belt had departed (gone completely) and mine simply snapped. Go figure.
He lived only a couple miles away and decided to limp home. Mine drives fine without the belt (separate drive system and speed density) so I continued on my way enjoying the quieter, whineless ride.
Nice guy. Rare that I bump into something fast on the street.
New belt ordered yesterday....it had 20k on it, so I figured it was coming.
It has been a good season so far for the daily driver. Only one loss to an 840 HP vette (I lost like I dropped an anchor - it wasn't pretty).
That's got to be one of the faster street cars around.
I'd love to check that thing out sometime if you're in the area.

My 3rd pegs at 90 mph. 4th is around 4500 rpm at 85 and I make about 15 psi there, so it is the sweet spot.
You never know on the street either.
It is a stock looking Trans Am with a D1 blower stuffed into it.....and it is typically dirty - very dirty.
If your ever at a car show or something send me a PM and I'll bring it down.
I envy the fox body or 03/04 guys who can swap those things out in just a couple minutes.
I mostly tune west of Boston these days.
