Because a 115mph trap with the auto 5.0 at Sac. will probably never be repeated unless another lines up in that lane, same conditions and the timing system malfunctions again.

Maybe a little experience will teach you some basic caution. Like no pedestrians. Limited access with no side streets and driveways. Night time? Did you survey the road first? That is exactly why crashes occur short of equipment failure.

If it is an auto, going from a roll you don't need the driver mod. Unless he weights 400+lbs.

Great kill bro. You the man took down the 5.0 with a stock f-body.

Damn these mustangs. Lol. I knew I could take one. I hope he wants his rematch and I will get a passenger with me to record the kill..... And like I said before, this guy was not coming back for ****. I would see him shift his gears and I would only see the car move up and down and see it slowly fall back.

And before anyone says it's a 2010 stang, I took this vid some days before I raced the guy. Just a small clip of it.

That isn't true. Knowing your powerband/gearing, electronic nannys turned off, and holding your gear instead of letting it downshift are all keys.

I don't see why everyones getting in such a tight *** mood about his nearly stock Trans Am beating a new 5.0

Other than the car needing to break in and plenty of other things, there's just way too much difference between most drivers to be able to make a solid argument for or against it. It happened, that's it. When the new camaros were first out, I ran into this black dude that had an LS3 6 speed one, and I wasn't even going to bother since I was just in my 06 GT, which at that time I had removed the nitrous and all it had was the exhaust done. We ended up going from a dig at the red light, and his front end stayed at my doors the entire way, through every shift, and he fell back to the doors, from my fenders on my car throughout the race.

Now there's no way in hell I should have beat the guy, I even told my friend in the car(each had a passenger) don't bother when he asked if I wanted him to record. I told him while laughing I didn't want a video to see how badly it was going to beat me.

Point being, I won, I know I shouldn't have, and he sure as hell should know he shouldn't have, but I did. It doesn't mean anything either way other than I was able to drive better, or his car wasn't broken in, or any hundreds of other possibilities that affected the outcome.

But Manny won this time, that's all that matters. Every day there are cars that win that most likely shouldn't have and it's all due to a bunch of different conditions that were just right at the time from the driver just plain being better, to hooking up better.

Good kill Manny.

Good kill! As mentioned anything can happen on the street, I give credit where it is due. That guy needs to learn to drive or something...maybe connect the #7 and 8 spark plug wires next time

Looking at the short vid of the stang I didnt see the 5.0 badge on the side. Did he peel it off?

You would all just come in and say, "Nice kill man, those T/As aren't all they're cracked up to be!" I doubt that.
Whether it should have or not, a win is a win.
