Nice build you got their...That looks like a 03-06 Viper at 510 hp because I belieave the 2008 vipers with the 600 HP had the much deeper gray..

I wonder of that Viper was pretty modded..looks like he almost hung with you for a gear or so..

I know if he was bone stock at 450 rwhp verses your 800 rwhp you would have pulled much harder..You ever talk to him and see what mods he had???

your engine bay looks sick and that viper looked very nice in avtion..Thanks

on a different thread on a different site he uses we found out he was just playing with the viper, then finally went WOT. His full video is longer and more informative: him hanging with the viper when his rpms are down at what sounds like 3000rpms and then him yanking past him when the rpms pick up.

He was data logging/ tuning in his GTO when he came across this guy. After he got one look at his 10-71 blower sticking out the hood the viper guy decided to instigate a race.

Nice Goat. I'm sure 800rwtq feels nasty. If my heads were O-ringed, i could find out with a 100 shot. Great choice of tunes for the vid also

Thanks for the info on the Viper, I thought it might be a Gen 1 or 2. I was in 5th and 6th for the run. We had tried to line up a couple of times to no avail. I gave him the hit. When he almost hangs is when my tires broke loose on the shift, if you listen you can hear the revs go up. He got out of it pretty quick when the tires bit though. Its all fun, he knows what happened and I do, was just glad to share the video with you guys. How much do those things weigh?

I would have loved to talk to him but he wasn't having it. Waved at him, thumbs up etc. He had nice tint on the windows. My IATs were in the 170s and timing was at 12 degrees, would have loved to get a cleaner shot. You are right about it being great to see the viper in action, beautiful car.

All it takes is 5th and 6th to destroy a viper.

That was a gen3 viper with 510 stock HP. They weigh 3390 pounds when they are convertables like that one and 3440 pounds when they are the hard top coupe version.

They run 12.1 at 120 with average drivers and 11.9 at 121 with decent drivers and 11.8 at 122 with good driving..The best get to the 11.5-11.7 at 121-123 mph stock..

not super fast by todays standards...but good performance considering you can buy a 2003 for 40K with that performance
