But the B16 and gutted is not fast by any means unless its got way more mods.

I know cause i had one or two like that back in the day. Good times.
Only mods he had on the b16 were full exhaust and cold air intake haha

good kill bro, glad you won. It feels like **** to lose to a honda. I ran a civic k24 swap on a shot and lost. He was guted I lost by a 1.5 or 2 dont remeber I was to sad that I lost to honda. He ran me without the shot I won by 2.5 cars. He said he put down 250 fwhp n/a and 350 fwhp on the shot.
he was a cool guy for being a ricer. Gave him his props with a thumbs up and went my way holding my head in shame.

k20s are for the rich kids. You were just lucky it wasn't a well built k20/k24 frank in a 92-95 body.

Yea, if you find one of the 5 that arent stolen.

Not to mention how suspect it is when a K20a2 with trans goes for 2 grand on craigslist, all the time. Everyone knows what the story is lol

Owning a known K20 powered car is like a dream....you wake up and its gone.

I did my swap with hmotorsonline but they dont have a kit to put a k series in the older bodies. Hybridracing carries a swap kit but its pretty pricey. Its easier/cheaper to just boost a b series to be honest.

K swaps are bad, but now it's the J swap everyone is after.

If I had known that I would have sold some Honda guy my J32a1 from my 1999 Acura TL.

*edit* - Never mind, I would have been ripped off I did that because I remember selling the car whole for 5k. Now way in hell would the motor be worth anywhere near that.

NSX? Either that is a J-series motor or a C-series. I don't remember. I'm kinda thinking it is a C-series. Anyone know?

Dam i got out of the honda game/scene/lifestyle a few years ago and never heard of a J swap.

Are you being serious?

Honestly i dont see the point, do the V6s take some wicked power or something?

Who the hell would want a transverse V6 in a Civic (or any other car, for that matter...)???

That would ruin the handling (too much weight too far forward), and be terrible to work on.

Turbo a 4-cylinder if you want power.

I think it's more just to say you have a J swap in your car. From what I'm seeing around guys with these swaps are only in the mid-high 12's which is easily done with a k20 and some bold ons + kpro tune. Or like you said, just boost any other motor. With how played out everything is in the Honda community people are always looking for something new. I think it's kind of cool though. Really no different than guys cramming small blocks in Vegas and Gremlins back in the day.
