Default 02 WS6 VS Nissian GT-R

I was leaving the race track about 12:30am in my TA with my girlfriend. (did not run the TA) We were cruising down the highway with the windows down going about 60mph in fifth gear. I look in my rear view mirror and notice a car pulling real hard and gets right next to us. (on my GF side) He looks at both of us, cracks a smile and then hits the throttle. He pulls off about 7 or 8car lengths. I looked at my girl and she just smiles. (she’s addicted to street racing)

I pulled up next to him with the car in fourth gear and punched it. (just to boost his confidence even more) so I put about two car lengths on him. (he was not racing yet) I left the car in fourth doing about 75mph and he gets side by side with me. My GF was looking at him smiling big and cheesy. I give the three honks and drop the TA in third. I immediately put about a car and half on him. When I hit fourth he's back at my rear bumper and then he shuts down at about 120-125mph. I then let off and left the TA in fourth. He then pulls up side by side with me and wants another run. It was the exact same results as before. My girl was laughing so hard that I actually felt bad when he pulls up next to me and just looked confused. I gave him the thumbs up but he was just so pissed and pulled off at the next exit.

This was by far the fastest import I have ever ran. I have tons of respect for those GT-R’s. I just don’t think he planned on getting his *** kicked by some old TA in his $80,000 supercar.

2010 GT-R Specs
485 Hp Stock
3.8L Twin Turbo
3800 LBS

Sure is.... especially stock. I have seen some quick one's at the track. Just never had the opportunity to run one.

Nice kill, good driving too. That will make him think twice about hunting Fbodies. Not a lot of imports, even in Silicon Valley, run 11s @ 120mph.

Good kill! 450rwhp out of a stock short block LS1 is booking for sure! Would have thought it would take one of those monster sized cams that LS1's are notorious for running. Well thought out combo to get monster N/A power and keep it streetable!!

Stick n Stones thanks for the kind words... I looked at numerous street combos and decided that I wanted the most out of this engine without giving up any daily driving. I know some people say that they can run a T-Rex and daily drive it, I have just not seen it in person.

The other week I ran a 2002 WS6 with Stage 3 Patriot Performance Heads with a 226/226 cam and took him on both runs at the track. He did have the LSX intake nonported... Traction was very crappy that day so ET times were not impressive however I out ran him by 4 MPH on both runs. I think better headers like Kooks might give me a little more power but I have been satisfied with the performance of the old SLP Headers.

He's not, trust me lol. While the OPs pretty modded Trans am is a little quicker in a straight line to the stock GT-R it's significantly slower in the turns and braking. All it would take is a tune for that GT-R to gain a 100HP and walk the OPs car. Not to mention the GT-R is just a much nicer vehicle.

Good kill OP! GT-Rs are no slouch.
