Default The difference heads and cam make: Fbody versus Goat

Friendly rematch between Dimitiry and me. We ran right before I put my heads/cam on and I barely pulled on him (almost 1 car in 60-120mph roll, 2 cars dig to 100). For the record, the last race we launched even, but he spun. The other runs he was closer to me that you see in my mirror on the last run! Still aint catching me though. lol

Z28: LS6 intake, LT's, xpipe, 3.90's, 555R tires, full suspension upgrades, K&N CAI, other stuff I cant remember.

My GTO: ported L92 heads, ported LS3 intake, Comp Cam (227/231 112lsa), Speed Secrets tune, 3600 stall.

I had his 200lb brother along in my passenger seat filming. He was solo. First runs I told him to take the hit. Basically just throwing this up to show the results of doing a good head/cam!

We were just screwing around for the most part on our way to the official dig race area. I knew I was gonna be alot faster, but we had run an impromptu race the day before when I came across him with his two brothers riding shotgun and it didnt appear like I was much faster in our one run. So I called him and setup todays runs to see how much I actually gained. Guess the other days runs were just a typical "random street race" where anything could happen: I killed him like I thought I should have.

looked like he put his car in reverse....hahaha, gotta love it when you beat someone like that, get the goat dynoed so we can see what it's putting down at the rear wheels...my guess would be 475 to 510rwhp

i think those numbers might be askin a little bit much, with 364 cubes and that somewhat smallish cam i'd say 450whp. just my .02, but still very nice.

So that's what a Stalled Heads/Cam LS2 GTO does to a bolt-on only LS1. Never would have guessed that!

I think my specs are 238/242 and 604/610 at 115 LSA my vette runs good, busted the diff at the track, haven't been back since ( expensive repair brother ) but on the street from a role I aint lose to nothing motor for motor

It's very relevant. He has a fast car but race a h/c camaro if he wants to see how it stacks up!

You misunderstand why I said it. He said the purpose of the race was to see the difference heads/cam makes vs a bolt-on car, since most of the time is bolt-on vs bolt-on or heads/cam vs heads/cam we see here. Obviously it would be closer if it was h/c vs h/c. He was just posting something different, but I see what you are saying. It just seemed to me you post was somewhat irrated by the fact he stomped the fbod, but I could be wrong. If I am, my bad.

H/C/I LS1 vs H/C/I LS2 ends the same.
