It was a GT....cammed, heads and 150 shot and the auto got off the line like a bullet. He had street sllicks and I was running FZ1's that had about 10% tread life. All that being said he had a MUCH faster car esp in an 1/8 mile. I outran an 8.05 GTO from a 40 kick to 120 outside the track. I tried the driver mod and everything just wasn't able to get the V off the line any better than a 2.5 60' with T/C on, off or comp mode. On a stock GT the V is almost dead even....driver's race from what I've seen....stock GTO was the same. I would really like to mod the V a little more but I put about 7-8,000 a month on it so reliability is more important until I'm able to get another dd.

Yep that's what I said about the time I saw his tailights...bahahaaaa, STOCK? WTF? and the 2' blue flames coming out of the cutouts didn't resemble a Pontiac option either.

Jeeze a G8 GT running a 7.65 1/8th mile ET is terrible for the mods he had. With a combo like that the guy should be in the 6.90-7.20 second range in the 1/8th mile.

I thought he'd been a little faster too once I found out the mod list....A buddy told me he got down around 7.30ish later in the night. Maybe the track got better and I know it dropped about 10 degrees. There's been many track nights when leaving at 2am or the outside temp is still 90+......It's like a MotherNature heatsoak. Still had a 2.2+ 60' time which didn't impress me with him being an auto.....I know he wasn't spraying out of the hole tho.
