Tonight in Mexico I got a chance to run a sick *** Cobra. Saw him cruising with a few other mustangs. Me and my buddy caught up and asked for a run. We pulled into the hangout spot (gas station) and talked for about 30 minutes. He told me 20 roll, but when we where heading out he said 40. Both runs are from a 40 hit. We both agreed if someone is just running away to just get out of it. Enjoy

Mods: Cobra
Ported, pullied, full bolt-ons, SRA, suspension, 315 Hoosier slicks. He didn't say much more about it.

My cars mods: Vette
Ms3 (could be smaller, previous owner installed), PRC 2.5 heads, texas speed pushrods, valves, full arp studs, PRC dual spring kit, Harland Roller rockers. Vararam intake, Fast intake manifold 92mm, GM Throttle body 92mm, 4x# injectors (not sure) msd wires, shorty headers, test pipes, stock Ti-catback, Rpm V trans, getrag diff /w 390's, 275 Goodyears off of a c5.

Race One: 40 Hit, started at that green side on the right side. I jumped a little bit and backed out. Got back into it and short shifted 4th. Started pulling again in the middle of 4th 11x. I hit 5th for a second and he gave up.

Race Two: 40 Hit, video started right as we hit it. (iPhone lol). This time we both got a good even hit. I pulled pretty damn good on this one. Again he gave up as I was barly into 5th gear.

Over all it was a sick *** black Cobra with chrome fr500's. The owner was one nice guy. I expected he was hiding mods and I was gonna get walked. Didn't get a chance to talk to him after the race. I missed the turnoff after the overpass everyone was watching from. By the time I got back, no one was at the hangout. Hopefully next week we shall meet again. Hope you all enjoyed my story and videos. I'm getting tuned this friday, my cars very rich. And I know im in need of a camera, iPhone FTW!! Thanks

Thanks a lot for the compliments guys. I'm starting to love my car more and more. Too bad summers almost over. Winter plans are to get rid of my stock catback, and buy a borla system. And maybe a little spray.

So, a ~450rwhp Z06 against a ~500rwhp cobra, couldn't see **** in the videos, but I'm assuming you won. You weigh ~31XX and he weighs 36XX, so about 500 pounds less and better aero which would definitely give you a nice edge.

Nice runs, gotta love a H/C/I C5Z Put some LTs on that thing - I bet you would see a damn nice gain with everything else done. Also what's with the 275's out back?

Believe me I would like longtubes. My car already scrapes a lot. The roads here suck really bad.

Thanks - I haven't updated that in a little while. Honestly my ground clearance isn't any worse with these LTs. I can't speak for other brands but pretty sure they're all about the same as stock clearance.
