He did not spin, he nailed all of his shifts... Want to keep making excuses why a 300Whp car lost to a 450Rwhp car? What a joke.
He said he needed tires and I said I would wait until he got them.
Exactly what happened is what was supposed to happen... It was exactly what it should have been, period.

No ones making excuses. I dont give a **** who won or lost. 320whp in a 2200 lb car shouldn't lose that hard to a 3500lb car with 450whp.
If it was an integra or coupe then Id say otherwise.

BUT i think this statement is absolutely correct.
An EG hatch with 320whp should have done quite a bit better, but hey anything can happen on the streets obviously.

well while everyone argues, im suppossed to have a rematch against my buddies turbo hatch, supossedly he got it running right. so we'll see how well a mostly stock fbody holds up to one. im interested to know if both hatches have about the same thing done to em

When talking turbo cars, 90% of the race relies on the initial hit. He's in a low torque, fwd, and wasn't break boosting. The race was just how it should have been.

I don't feel like reading back but if its non-vtec then that would explain the lag. When I am doing a roll I am always in vtec, basically no lag at ALL

This isn't some gutted civic, it is full weight. even if it is 1000#s liter, the TA makes over 100 more Whp... Not to count the fact the race was from 50mph and one is turbo (lag any way you want to cut it, vtak or non vtak) against NA with absolutely zero lag.

I raced my buddy's 410whp supercharged mustang GT when I was at 305whp and i weigh a couple hundred lbs more than the EG in the vid. I started passing him top of 4th and I didn't breakboost and was not in vtec from 50mph on crap tires.
I am just going by facts, unless that fbod has more power then you think. but it certainly looks like that civic is hit and he can't shift from what it sounded like in the vid (or at least i think thats how it sounded, watched it on my iphone lol)

With easily 500 lbs less and more power, hell yes that car should up near 120.
This has nothing to do with hondas. The math just doesnt make sense and people usually claim more then what they actually have. But anything can happen on the street I guess.

Anyone ever think maybe the civic isn't making as much power as he said it was? Just my .02 cents. I used to have a built turbo civic, its what i started with when i got into cars, depending on the motor in the civic with no head work he'd be hard pressed to make that much on 15 pounds.
Like i said just my .02 cents

No one is saying that the civic should have won with that power either, just that it should have been a lot closer if it was really putting down 320whp.
Good race non the less.

I won't say it'd win but it sure would be a much more respectable death.

By the way, the TA is a bad *** ride...is that SOM?

My race weight is 2800 lbs with me; full interior car trapped 113 at a later date at around 300whp.
With easily 500 lbs less and more power, hell yes that car should up near 120.

You want to do some math? You went 113mph with 300whp in a 2800lb car. I went 113mph with 303whp in a 3400lb car. Can you guess why?

Unfortunately we never got a clean run in due to an unfortunate series of events lol. But yea, if you do the math and that civic was in fact making 320, it's power to weight would be better than the TA's at 450 whp. Granted all motor cars move the hell out on the hit, but the civic got spanked pretty good. He should get it dynoed and confirm what he thinks he's making.
By the way, the TA is a bad *** ride...is that SOM?

yeah, last time we ran we did a 25 roll 3 times, him brake boosting hard. i had major traction issues and he'd jump about a car on the launch, but i ran him down every time. i wouldnt be suprised if he jumps out and i cant run him down this time
