Gorgeous bird man! Those rims are !!!!!! By far one of my all time favs on an F-body. If I get rid of my Ruff 278's, I will def be considering FM10's on my 86 TA.

I am a little biased to orange too since my bird's getting some nice prowler flame orange metallic paint haha.

Really? Ahead? How much actual racing do you do?

I am just going by facts, unless that fbod has more power then you think. but it certainly looks like that civic is hit and he can't shift from what it sounded like in the vid (or at least i think thats how it sounded, watched it on my iphone lol)

Hate on
I almost commented on the GT/your civic race but honestly it is completely irrelevant what happened in that race.

Facts? You saw the facts... We got it on camera.... Not too much else to argue about. I'm not the one hating.

With easily 500 lbs less and more power, hell yes that car should up near 120.

This has nothing to do with hondas. The math just doesnt make sense and people usually claim more then what they actually have. But anything can happen on the street I guess.
His cars race weight is right around 2550, he is full weight as well. So with 0-20Whp more than you and 300#s less he should be trapping 7 more mph faster? Not to mention the time you have to count in he loses off the hit being turbo and running a NA car.

Your math doesn't make sense because you don't even know anything about the cars... Let alone you can do match ALL DAY LONG and in the end it doesn't mean jack ****.

Granted all motor cars move the hell out on the hit, but the civic got spanked pretty good. He should get it dynoed and confirm what he thinks he's making.
Again, you are comparing 300ISH Whp against 450ISH Whp... Pay attention guys.

Correct.

You want to do some math? You went 113mph with 300whp in a 2800lb car. I went 113mph with 303whp in a 3400lb car. Can you guess why?
Here come with real life variables and intelligence again, what I tell you about that?

I don't know if "forever" would cover it.

The top run is 35 and the bottom run is 55.. Civic said he was in a bad starting RPM on the 35 run. That is the Z you hear spinning.

That shows just how much brake-boosting would help him. Good runs again

Same outcome as with the TA I would assume... The Z on a 100 shot is about dead even (might be a fender out) with the OP's TA until 95mph then the TA starts pulling- 1 1/2 lengths to 120 or so (Z has 2.73s, horrible 3rd gear lag).

Thanks man.

wow, haters want to hate. hate, hate, hate. Remember guys, there is alot more to how fast a car can run than just looking at peak hp and weight.

good runs btw

I like imports, I really do. I just can't stand ricers that only consider two attributes to bench racing. Peak HP and weight. Those are the only attributes that the civic guys have and they ride that **** everyday preaching it's superiority and talking **** when the ricer math doesn't compute to actual results . They never take into consideration torque and the HP curve. Just because you peak out at 300whp and weigh 2xxxlbs doesn't mean you are going to beat a car that has a **** load more torque and makes great power starting in the low/mid rpms range. Plus have you seen the powerband on the fwd 4 banger civic's. They don't make serious power until high rpm where it skyrockets(turbo lag, vtec kicking in, dunno?). a NA v8 makes a serous dyno bubble where the power is there from low rpm upward. It's pretty easy for a bolt on ls1 at full weight to get into the 12's with only 350ish whp so I don't understand how it's so hard to understand how it can run past a low 300whp civic that has no torque and only make hp between 7-9rpm even with it being lighter.

I had a 2002 SS that made 460 rwhp and 480 rwtq that trapped 121 mph. I ran a turboed Civic for a short burst and he pulled me ever so slightly, maybe would have had a car at most in a full on race.

yes, i agree on all of that ...i mean the first vid showed that...he didnt have nothin to go with to start, then he stopped the pull bout 95 and when we hit 110 we started pullin again (of course i have the 2:73) at which only lag i had. which i will be fixin soon i hope

sec vid he done better but still didnt get no where, sept 1 1/2 cars back

I was on a DynoDynamics w/e they're called. In either case, the civic guy needs to break boost . Looks like the cars pretty even once it gets into its powerband.
