There's an '01 bullitt near me with intake, full exhaust, tune, gears. I don't think he's ever taken it to the strip but I doubt he'd break out of the 13's. Because it seems to me mid-high 12's would be 3v times?

If that Bullitt is full bolt-ons (LTs included) with a tune and gears, it's definitely capable of 12s with traction. Might not be easy, but the car would be capable of it.

[QUOTE=WSsick;13907596]Why? That's retarded, something a ricer would do.

I just started a thread earlier this week about my friends bone stock LT1 beating a new edge gt, so I hope to god you LS1 can pull on one. Every one that I've raced with a few mods, I've smoked 'em. You had terrible traction and/or he lied about his mods, could be spraying for all we know.[/QUOT

Ricer these NUTS !!! **** YOU! And yes I had severe traction problems from a dig. When we raced from a roll it was neck and neck til' about 60mph.We started at 40 something. Everytime I would start catching up he would break. **** it A lost is a lost. I am not a sore loser. Like I said...I will catch him another day. I see him all the time.

I can possibly see them being high 12's with those mods. I know of plenty of 3V's with only intake, tune, gears, and tires hitting 12.9's or so. 3V cars are also a bit heavier so it's possible. The problem is most people just can't drive...and for the amount of mustang owners compared to F-body owners, theres probably a TON that can't drive haha.

You started at 40 something mph? Right there's your problem then, he caught you in a deadspot. If you left it in drive and just hit the gas, your car never downshifted into 1st. Anything between 30 & 60mph in an A4 is a deadspot. Was the GT a Manual or Auto by the way?

BTW, its "a loss is a loss" not "a lost is a lost"

capable and realistic can be two different things. lol 9.5× out of 10 a two-valve with those mods wont see 12's in the quarter. Sheesh it takes most heads, cams, intake, 4.30 gear, slicks, full suspension, weight reduction etc etc just to break 11's w/o a power adder.

And quite a few people with bolt-on LS1s can't even break in the 12s... doesn't mean that the cars can't do it. A ~285rwhp 3,350lb car with 4.10s and the transmission gearing of the T45/3650 that can pull a 1.7 60' is a 12s car.

Mmmm, I'd definitely argue his scenario happens a whole lot more than yours. Sure, some 6 speed bolt-on LS1 guys cant, and even a few auto guys with bad gears, but I'd say 8 out of every 10 bolt-on LS1s (including LTs, exhaust, etc.) are in the 12s.

Doesn't make it less possible. When you're lining up against a car you need to know what it COULD do, not just what you think might happen. Every time I would line up against a car on the street or the track I keep in mind what potentially could happen if the driver was on his game that night and the car was running well.

Trevor (first vid) is on one of the boards I've been on since '02, 3.8mustang.com. Pretty cool guy from what I understand, and he lives in the same area as me.
