Wait, wait, by "sick inside" you mean the interior?!:

Eh, it's alright but I wouldn't call it a strong point of the car (imo).

I like how the new 5.0 mustangs look and I'm not a fan of blue oval at all.. I've been hearing how these cars can run with cammed ls1, but I just don't see that happening (except for that vid of course).. I've been wanting to run one for a while, but no luck, always going in different directions of each other, or I'm in my other daily.. My cammed ls1 last dynoed 379 rwhp with the 10bolt and now that I have my d60, I've been told that the bigger rearend will rob 20 to 30 whp (not sure if thats true though).. At the track, I don't even think he will have a chance even if he got the hit. Now, I'm not trying to start controversy, nor am I talking **** either, my car is no slouch at the track, and it can definitely hold its own on the street.. I think I need to run one so I can see how well they perform and judge for myself... BTW couldnt see the vid...

You my friend are going to be surprised....

I am a LS1 man myself and always will be, but I give props where they are due. Ford got it right on the new 5.0, they kept the weight down and are making GREAT HP with just a simple exhaust, cai, and tune.

I have personally seen multiple (2) new 5.0's run in the 11's with a tune, catback, cai, tune, and tires.

Now think about this.. They are already maxed with tuning. How much more can the new 5.0 gain with a H/C/I set up?

From what I've seen on vids they do look impressive, but I just havent seen one run well at the track yet... I've seen a stock 5.0, I'm guessing, since it did run mid 13s. One of these days, I'll run one at the track/street and get video to post up in here. Win or lose I'll post it. And although, I am a chevy fan, I will give the 5.0 it's props, if deserved.. My roommate, is actually looking to trade his 2006 GT (procharged) for a 5.0, will like to see him gets one, so I can be the first to spank that ***..

Thats my car in the video. Both cars were so ******* loud it was hard to hear the horn so the starts weren't always equal. If you have any other questions let me know.

i havent dynoed mine yet, but our two cars should be about the same power. i would expect to lose to a lighter F-body with the same power as mine.

Not sure if this was intended for me, but my car weighs around 3800lbs with me in it.

nice runs. Thats about what my car traps in the 1/4.

I'm hoping with gears/9" I will be able to pull off some 11 second passes next year.

I think what we're seeing here is a good example of a car company finally pulling the trigger and maximizing performance as a package. Yes, there is room for improvement, but not as much IMO as the LS1 (NOT comparing the two, I'm saying as far as reaching the motors optimal potential and the vehicle as a whole), because GM didn't/couldn't get more of the performance the motor was capable of from the factory with all the other stumbling blocks they built in - weak clutch/hydraulics, garbage axle, automatic that breaks if you look at it wrong, etc -

I drove one of the new 5.0 the other day when we were picking up a car at the dealer. I was impressed, but not as much as the hype would lead me to believe. My biggest beef is even as fast as the car is, it still doesn't kick you in the seat like my old pushrod motor that probably has 50-60hp less. In the end, I still like the "feel" of my Formula better, and definitely the seating position. Mustang still feels like riding ON the car, not in it.

They're quick though, I raced one with dealer plates a while back that probably wasn't even going 100% and he beat me by 2-3 cars 60-100.

Yeah, you should be able to.. The 9" is lighter than the d60, so I've been told. My d60 and new torque arm added about 150 lbs to my car, so that sucked. My friend was the one that ran my car in the 11.42 at 119. We are messing with my tune a bit to correct a couple of things and hoping to get an 11.5x or lower at a 117 or faster with me driving and if he drives maybe an 11.3x or lower at a 120 or faster.. He weighs about 240lbs less than I do, and wanted to see how much better my car would run... ****, I need to shave some weight off my ***..lol I dont trust anyone to drive my car but I figured his car is faster than mine so he should be able to control it without a problem.. This is his car that same night we ran mine vvvvv

I'm going with the MWC 9" so weight shouldn't be a problem at all. I think they are only a tad heavier than the stock 10 bolt in most cases.

Also, whats done to that GTO ? That thing moves out good.

427 stroker, stock suspention, except for the airbags to lift the rear of the car so he can put 28 size tires underneath and some weight reduction..
