That's the other thing I was going to mention. Tony Mamo and a couple of his customers have put up legitimate 500rwhp dynos with the stock 346 cubes on AFR205 heads and a 224/228 cam. With a well-built 403 and AFR225s and an aggressive cam, well more than 520rwhp is possible. A mustang dyno is going to give you a conservative figure, and a dynapak is going to give a somewhat liberal number. Same dyno, same day, you would see more, he would see less or some combination of the two.

quik01ss, your car is a beast!

Thanks

I'm going to have track times with my car next weekend last I was at the track the booted me off for no cage stock cubes alum. block afr 205s g5x3 dana 60 4.10s went 1.68 60' 11.3 @ 124mph at 3520lbs. 3-3500k drop off line bogged

Now iron block probably ~70lbs and cage ~60lbs so 3650lbs I am hoping to see 129-130 trap speed and high 10s dropping it at 4k or more depending how the new nt05r's hook

I think I'm going to have to make a video like that, just to see how fast I ****. I'd like to think I have the driver mod , I'm sure a few guys around here I've raced can attest to that.

Boosted Cobras often get pushed around by cars with less power. Some of them run what you would expect with their power, but the majority don't.

A lot of that is due to heat soak. They may make a big # on a dyno with some ice on the blower and time to cool, but run them time and time again and they will get slower. Turbo'd ones are a different story though...

This is true, but also its because an NA car will have power right away, to where S/C cars usually will start to increase hp/tq as rpm increases. Twin screw do reach their peak power lot sooner than centrifical though.

Heat soak is a major problem for twin screw, and very true on the turbo'd ones, way different story.

All positive displacement blowers, not just twin-screws, are plagued with heat soak.

Maybe someone should start a thread where people can upload videos of them running through a few gears. Forget POTM, lets see SOTM

in my opinion is gonna need more gear in the 3rd gen like 4.30 gears, a lot of motor gotta get it turning.

great runs Joe, cars definately running strong.

the third gen is all torque, ive riddin in it before and the 2,000-4,000 RPM power is insanity, up top it kind of smooths off. not to mention the car is a boat.
