HAHAHA your talking like ls1's dont produce **** for torque. what do your multiple cams and 32 valves have to do with it? Mod for mod our ls1 vs your 32 valve 4 cam engine we will still produce more hp and tq across the board. oh not to mention gm also produced a 32 valve dohc engine called the lt5 and even back in 1990 it made 400hp and was seriously de-tuned. The only engine I congratulate ford on yet is the new 5.0

I don't see why LS1 owners get so mad over the Mach 1 being just as fast.

lol.. maybe you two should actually read into, instead of reading headlines..
Good ol OK.
Good kill btw!
For model year 1990, Chevrolet released the Corvette ZR-1 with the radical overhead cam LT5 engine, which shared only the 4.4 inch bore spacing with any previous LT engine. The LT5 was engineered by a team headed by Mercury Marine Project Engineer Terry D. Stinson.[2]. It was an all-aluminum 5.7 L (349 cu in) small-block V8, but was thoroughly different from any of the other Chevrolet 350 engines. The bore and stroke were both different at 3.9 by 3.66 in (99 by 93 mm) instead of the usual 4 by 3.48 in (102 by 88 mm) and it featured Lotus-designed 32-valve DOHC heads. It was hand built by specialty engine builder, Mercury Marine in Stillwater, OK.
Good kill btw!

i thought the machs had the 5.4 ? on a sidenote, i kinda agree with what wssick said. i know my t/a isnt the fastest or greatest car out there, even teh almighty vette isnt the best or fastest. i just happen to like my bird and would sell my soul to have a c6. its all in personal preference. just for refernce, i beat my buddies 08 bolt on tuned gt, but ive been beat by a 96 gt... i wont mention the fact the 96 had a built 5.0 with twin turbos....

I hate to see that the tried and true ls1's are aging. It was and still is a great motor, but technology is catching up and is making the ls1 show its age. I love my trans am and loyalty as stated is worth ![turd](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies2/turd.gif)
but, as stopsign32v said those 4 cams and all that air they can take in makes them great motors. Now if only gm would take the modular northstar motor and put some cubes with it we might be able to so these ford guys how 4 cams really work
. Anyways good kill op

I've been looking alittle and it seems $3,000 is all the bolts, belts, fittings, etc.. Maybe I will piece it together over a few months. I just REALLY hate the idea of putting a blower on a non forged motor. Been there before and it sucks. But building the motor = $$$$ and headache (pulling the motor and putting it back in).

Chill out you guys take this thing too seriously! ps Ford doesnt give a **** about you taking up for their motors either.
